Why is this asshole still on the air?? Does he have pictures of someone with barnyard animals?

http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/

The Scoreboard: Tuesday, Mar. 11

25-54 demographic

MSNBC 5PM Hardball: 171,000 6PM Tucker: 156,000

This is the core demographic for advertisers, and neither of these nitwits draws flies. And Tucker is going (don't let the door hit you in the ass Bow Tie Boy). Even Dan Abrams is doing twice the viewers of Tweety.

What is WRONG with this picture????

2. Tweety's A Betlway Star and Village Idiot
I've seen Tweety's ratings jump around...some days decent, other days Tucker-bad. But he's secure in the loving corporate arms of General Electric. Tweety plays the company gadfly...the dude at the parties and on the phones...the political junkie's gossip columnist. While he may have few viewers in "fly-over" land, he's mustsee TV in the beltway and thus serves his corporate masters...he ain't going anywhere unless he goes completely postal.

3. He's part of the Nantucket NBC crowd

They look out for each other.

ONLY THIRTY MILES FROM THE STATES: For the record, Russert and the rest of the gang also share a Nantucket bond, as Sallie Brady once explained in a Washingtonian profile:

BRADY (8/03): Russert is part of the Nantucket NBC crowd, one of the cliques that fuels the isle's social engine. It was Jack Welch, the story goes, the 20-year chairman and CEO of NBC's parent company, General Electric, who drew network folk to Nantucket...

Russert's boss, NBC CEO Bob Wright, is also on the scene. Add to the cocktail chatter the latest tidbits from the Oval Office, care of White House correspondent David Gregory, who was married on Nantucket and returns with his wife, Beth, for vacations; celeb updates from Access Hollywood host Pat O'Brien, who retreats here; and Washington gossip from News 4 anchor Barbara Harrison, and the only ones missing from the NBC lineup are Will and Grace.

Although Welch retired in 2001, he's still a power magnet. He holds court from a massive gray-shingled home festooned with window boxes, near Sankaty Head Golf Club. It was there that Welch once played Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, only to discover that two of the richest men in the world routinely bet only $1 a round.

And more good news! The whole gang is there! Matthews bought a $4.4 million home on Nantucket last year, the Boston Globe reported. Basking amid the swells of Nantucket, he can share their Millionaire Pundit Values—and their search for eternal certainty, a search which seemed to be on display in those lugubrious programs last night.

And, in case you're wondering why Gregory got Tucker's timeslot instead of someone like Rachel Maddow, here's your explanation:

Russert's boss, NBC CEO Bob Wright, is also on the scene. Add to the cocktail chatter the latest tidbits from the Oval Office, care of White House correspondent David Gregory, who was married on Nantucket and returns with his wife, Beth, for vacations.

4. Despite his low ratings Tweety still has an evil influnce ....
the Washington press loves to be on TV (even if no-one is watching) and only those who spew the convential nonsense, err wisdow that Tweety approves of goes on (or those that don't differ too much or fight too hard.)
