"When you vote this election year, remember September 11, 2001."
This is what a new billboard in downtown Seattle has to say. Sponsored by "Concerned Citizens for a Better America."

Anybody else seeing these?

I'd be surprised if anyone was taking said billboards seriously.

7. Reminds me of the one I heard about a few (quite a few) years ago:
"Will the Last Person to Leave Seattle Please Turn Out the Lights?"

Was that for real??? Have always wondered, since in the mid-60s my Oregonian spouse who I married in Seattle had legally imported me to his Native State. Where I've been ever since...but still think Seattle is the coolest place with lots of great memories from my years there.

We should have seen that all over the place four years ago. Still hard to believe half the people voted for him again. But, like they say, I guess half the people really are below average.

on edit: I just saw your second version. I liked the crooked one better.

6. the first thing pops into my head is Bush sitting there doing nothing and then later
claiming he didn't "Want to worry the children" and then 7 minutes later he was in front of those same "Children" informing us and them what happened.

Is that what it's supposed to remind of because if so---well done.

10. Yeah, that would make a perfect backdrop for that billboard.
"When you vote this November, remember 9/11/2001 and all the shit that has gone down since then thanks to a Republican president."

8. That is SO funny because
the first thing I thought when I read the subject of your post was, "you mean that Bush knew and didn't do anything to stop it?" and "9/11 - good reason to vote for the Democrat!" Billboards might backfire on them.

21. They REALLY don't want people doing that...
Remember that in the months leading up to 9/11, alarm bells were ringing all over the place.

Remember there were people going to flight schools, asking to be taught how to fly heavy jets but not to land them.

Remember that our installed leader was given a briefing on August 6, 2001, entitled "Al Qaeda Determined To Strike In US" but did nothing that would stop it.

Remember that al-Qaeda operatives were seen making practice runs for 9/11...and the government did nothing.

Remember that airliners, which are tracked as they move through the sky, departed severely from their flight plans, and the Air Force sat on the ground. (In contrast, everyone on golfer Payne Stewart's plane died when the plane lost cabin pressure and it was shadowed by two Air Force interceptors from just about the time it deviated from its flight plan to the time it crashed.)

Remember the government held a simulation of a terrorist attack on the morning of September 11 using the names of real terrorists. This is completely illegal and the reason is now crystal clear.

Remember Tora Bora.

Remember that Shrub got bored with trying to find Bin Laden, after he said he would stop at nothing to get him, and attacked Iraq instead.

I AM going to remember September 11 when I vote. I'm going to vote for the first person who says he's going to put Shrub in federal prison for 9/11. We'll come up with a charge later, even if we have to go to Congress and pass a new law that he violated.
