I think not.

What do you think?

3. LOL! I must've been thinking of the Spiegel Mail Order catalogue.
Like the good German I've been programmed to be.

The results were true, though, as I searched under "Don Siegelman."

Hah hah heh heh heh. Wow. What's become of my(!) mind?

Oh, well! I'm grateful I didn't search under "Dawn Wells." Homeland Security would be on my case.

Thanks for the heads-up, ProdigalJunkMail!

8. i am just happy to commiserate with someone
when a typo (and an obvious one) occurs. we all know what you meant. the funny part (to me) is that a typo that i made today brought a recording server to its knees...took me 15 minutes to find it!

5. Thanks, BurtWorm. I did. My bad in the message subject line.
Somedays, it doesn't pay to communicate.

Of course, Dr. Johnson wrote that "only an idiot writes for free."
That would be me.

So here's a photo of someone the Newsday (via the Chicago Tribune)
says may be Client #9's good friend:

Now that (experience) could be worth a 1,000 words an hour.

9. Thanks for noticing, XOKCowboy. I don't think that's a coincidence, either.
So we try and do something about it...

10. Mark "Hot Pages" FOLEY. Larry "Wide Stance" CRAIG. David "Pampers" VITTER. All GOP.
Two of those three still have their cushy jobs and benis. The only reason Foley had to go was his connection to Missing and Exploited Children, a Congressional subcocmmittee the perv headed.

7. of course it is not a coincidence,
its is all according to plan

Many many high profile people have said that everything this administration does in political, Everything. The DOJ is political, and certainly the media is political, that is when they are not pushing entertainment as news.

22. One guy I'd like to, eh, address is the turd holding up his lighter...
...like it was some attempt to be cool at a has-been reunion rock concert.

The nation's founders mentioned only one business by name in the Constitution -- the free press.

If these turds did their job, this would be one different nation.

13. Good point. Still, that's about an 12:1 ratio. The Google news diff is about a 24:1 ratio.
That's twice as big.

Would that be considered an order of magnitude of silence?

Besides, there's an enormous difference between a rich, hypocritical pol who spends dough on a call-girl and a government that prosecutes an innocent man solely because of his politics. If we had an honest and free press, they'd be all OVER the Siegelman story.

14. if a week ago, before Spitzer hooker story broke, you had googled
Spitzer's name and Siegelman's name, I bet you'd have found a heck of a lot more Spitzer stories. He was a national figure even before he was elected governor of the second largest state in the country. Quick - how many state attorneys general can you name? How many governors?

18. Right. My point is that the MOST important story is Bushco's POLITICAL PROSECUTION.
The fact that criminals hav hijacked the Department of Justice and use it to imprison their opponents should outweigh the relative sizes of the population of New York and Alabama.

Can't name too many current governors. I know a few state attorney generals -- most of them are retired. Besides Mike Cox and Frank Kelly of Michigan, a name that comes to mind is Grant Woods.

19. There may be a new Google coming...
...and I hope it has lots o' links.

Google could be superseded, says web inventor

The next generation of web technology is likely to be far more powerful than the current crop, Tim Berners-Lee said

From Times OnlineMarch 12, 2008
Jonathan Richards

Google may eventually be displaced as the pre-eminent brand on the internet by a company that harnesses the power of next-generation web technology, the inventor of the World Wide Web has said.

The search giant had developed an extremely effective way of searching for pages on the internet, Tim Berners-Lee said, but that ability paled in comparison to what could be achieved on the "web of the future", which he said would allow any piece of information — such as a photo or a bank statement — to be linked to any other.

Mr Berners-Lee said that in the same way, the "current craze" for social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace would eventually be superseded by networks that connected all types of things — not just people — thanks to a ground-breaking technology known as the "semantic web".

The semantic web is the term used by the computer and internet industry to describe the next phase of the web's development, and essentially involves building web-based connectivity into any piece of data — not just a web page — so that it can "communicate" with other information.

SNIP...

The challenge, experts say, is in finding a way to represent all data so that when it is connected to the web, links to other relevant information can be recognised and established — a bit like the process known as "tagging". One expected application is in the pharmaceutical industry, where previously unconnected pieces of research into a drug or disease, say, could be brought together and assimilated.

21. How Many Hookers Did Siegelman Pay For?
Sex sells. And nothing sells more than a sex scandal...especially when it involves the Governor of the second most populated state in the largest media market. It's gold that keeps giving.

Now had Dana Simpson gotten some 8 x 10s of Siegelman in a compromising position, like Rove wanted, ya don't think that case would have gotten more attention?

The co-incidence is that the corporate media is tone deaf and fearful of political "backlash" by doing any serious investigative reporting...especially when it upsets the status quo.
