Yes, I know it stands for al-qaeda-homeland. is this some new crap from the admin, or a sarcastic reference to al-qaeda in iraq?

sorry, haven't had enough caffeine yet.

1. Where did you see that?
"AQH is an abbreviation for Average Quarter-Hour Persons (AQH Persons), defined by Arbitron as the average number of persons listening to a particular station for at least five minutes during a 15-minute period."

4. Oh Lord
That used to be an awesome place to eat back in the early 70's when a trip from Fayetteville to Springdale was a big deal.

7. Probably neither.
There was a little bomb that went off in front of a NYC recruiting station. (There have been a few other fairly ineffectual bombings in NYC in the last year, the NYT helpfully points out.)

AQ-Homeland took responsibility for it--where and how, I don't know and don't care. Ask around, and you'll probably find that it's never been heard of before, that nobody knows squat about it. I don't think it's a admin thing, nor a reference to AQ-Iraq. It's not been played up enough for it to be an administration ploy, and there's no sarcasm, as far as I can see.

First choice: It's a group of disaffected Muslims who have nothing to do with the bombing but want people to believe they did. For any horrible event--or event that can be spun as horrible or jihadist--they'll be some group taking credit for it, and there are wannabe jihadi groups in NYC. The '03 NE blackout initially had some known AQ-like group make the claim, in the usual channels, that they did it by bombing the power plant at Niagara (this in response to an early report saying that there was an explosion at the Niagara plant; it was a bit too late to retract the claim when it turned out that there was no explosion). I assume that this is a local variant of the '03 claim. It'll play better in the foreign than in the domestic press, I'll wager.

Second choice: It's a group of disaffected kids who want people to believe that some horrible group did it (and said kids might actually have something to do with it, but probably not).
