The largest antiwar turnout in human history occurred on this day five years ago, featuring hundreds of millions of demonstrators on every major landmass on earth, including Antarctica.

Many of us continued antiwar vigils until the start of the invasion in March. And now here's a shoutout to that carload of testosterone-poisoned pustules who cruised by the vigil at S. 148th and 1st Ave. S. hollering "Kick their ass! Take their gas!" Hey, assholes--how's that working out for you at the pump these days?
