For your greater reading pleasure, your personal serenity, and control of your blood pressure, may I recommend making judicious use of the four ways you can progressively filter out annoying/disturbing/enraging threads and posters:

(1) "Hide Thread" feature in the lower left corner of each original post to hide only that thread.

(2) "Ignore List" feature to:
-a. Ignore new threads only by certain posters;
-b. Ignore replies by certain posters in any thread;
-c. Block private messages from certain posters (even I haven't used this one).

I clear the whole list periodically, but the same handful of people keep getting back on it. Hopefully, once we have a nominee, it will be a very, very short list.
