Yep Dobson, Falwell, and the rightwing, conservative fundamentalist bunch cannot find any candidate they can support in the 2008 Presidential race.

Hmmmm .... that should tell people a lot about how extreme their views are that no one presently running fills their bill.

As a helpful suggestion, maybe they should run one of their own as an independent in 2008, and encourage all their fundie friends to vote only for that candidate.

That would be Karl Rove's worst nightmare ..... and it could happen if enough Republican corruption leaks out before the General Election.

... he has not crawled to the foot of Falwell and Dobson, kissed their ring, and begged forgiveness (like another Republican candidate we all know --who once called Falwell an agent of intolerance, but today is best buddies with him).

Romney has exactly NO CHANCE of ever winning the support of this group. They have their litmus tests, and there is no flexibility that allows support of anyone who EVER opposed one of their hotbutton issues.

I guess if there is no candidate they can support, they will just turn out and not vote for a presidential candidate, right?

4. Yeah but McCain is being used and abused worse this time than when he ran before....

Bush gives him 'the hug' and promises he will introduce McCain to all his top campaign aides and fundraisers if McCain changes his positions and supports Bush --which he does, and Bush in the meantime is pushing his brother Jeb to run.

McCain swallows his pride and crawls to Falwell alleging he has changed and will support overturning Roe(abortion), but Falwell has no intention of helping McCain.

And now the public sees and understands the hypocrisy going on, and McCain's numbers drop below 20% approval.

Stick a fork in McCain, he is done....

It's time to make people identify just who they are and what they want.

Parties have twisted themselves into pretzels trying to pretend to be something they are not.

All it's done is turn people off, and make people cynical.

If you are a religious fundie, SAY SO and put forth one of your own. If your ideas are so wonderful, you should have no trouble getting people to sign on.

He not only did not get their support, but got beat in his race for governor after it came out he was lying to everyone, laundering money from Jack Abramoff, and using 'religious money' to support gambling interests.

Duncan Hunter would be an ideal fit for Jerry and Jimbo. Problem is they don't dare back him publically; you see Dunc stands at 2% in the popularity poll, just shade better than the not applicable category.

The only way Jerry and Jim could back Hunter is if he could claw his way into the 20% to 30% range. This would allow them to jump in and leapfrog to their rightful position at the head of the parade. If they come out at this stage for a 2%er they put in serious jeopardy their self-appointed role as spokesmen for the Christian Taliban. These good old boys read the writing on the wall and just decided to cut and run.
