NDP: Momentum

Saturday's Nebraska Presidential Caucus proved one thing: Nebraska Democrats are motivated, engaged, and ready to win in 2008.

Over 38,000 Democrats from 92 counties stood up to be counted, exceeding even the most optimistic expectations. We gained a tremendous number of new Democrats and activated countless new volunteers. We can be -- and should be -- proud of what we did together.

But we need your help to build the momentum.

While we've been working to empower Nebraskans, giving us a voice in the Presidential nominee selection process for the first time in 40 years, our Republican rivals have spent the last several months filling their campaign warchests with hundreds of thousands of dollars from conservative special interests.

The good news is that we have you on our side. People like you -- whether you've been a Democrat for your whole life or just joined our Party on Saturday -- can step up and more than make up the deficit.

We must be ready for May's primary. With you on our team, I have no doubt we will be. Help us build the momentum; your contribution will help us gear up for the upcoming elections and allow the Nebraska Democratic Party to keep working to move our state forward.

Thanks for all you do,

Matt Connealy
Executive Director
Nebraska Democratic Party

P.S. We may not have a lot of corporate money on our side, but I'd much rather have people like you. Click here to contribute and to build momentum for our Party in Nebraska: https://secure.nebraskademocrats.org/page/contribute/momentum

2. Primary won't count toward the Presidential race

But we have things like Senator, Congressperson, etc... coming up in May.
