Poll question: China & Russia spend less than a tenth as much on military as the US--are they risking invasion?
The United States spends ten times more than either of those countries, supposedly for defense.

Our land area is about the same as China's, and both are much smaller than Russia.

Both Russia and China have potential enemies right at their borders too.

So is the US spending way too much or Russia and China spending way too little?

1. Considering that the Russian aircraft can out fly ours I suggest
we outsource the Airforce. Just buy their planes and install our avionics. The advantages are huge: We know our aircraft are just as good as theirs, we save a boatload of money and their economy is tied to ours so they can't afford to attack us.

2. The Air Farce should be eliminated.
Go back to an Army Air Corps.

3. But..but..they're evil bogeymen who keep saying "Boo!" and scaring us.
And, the only way to save us from being frightened is to give billions of dollars to the Pentagon and the "defense" industry.
