John Mccains Mother and the car

i recall seeing a post on DU a week or less ago about John McCains mom after watching her on c-span.... people on DU praised her for not letting the age police decide what she does... well....
while she seems like a nice woman and all, whats so impressive about her buying a car when they told her she couldnt rent one? John is on stage again bringing up the story. im baffled.

all it says to me is, im so crazy rich i can travel to france and by gosh if i wanna drive for the whole WEEK im there i think ill buy a new car!

i think it speaks to the wealthy elite, im sure they relate to it too.... not getting what they want so they BUY it.

1. I heard that. I am baffled too. Anddid his joke about jail food and the

governor fell flat. I didn't even understand his joke about lawyers nor that rant about Belacheck. Any democratic candidate would crush him in a debate.

2. He's trying to prove that she's a spunky old geezer, to allay fears

that he's too old. It's a pretty dumb tactic, to point to an ancient relative and say "See? I've got good genes!" His Dad is dead--how do we know he didn't get his DAD'S genes?
