I enjoyed the Puppy Bowl (on Animal Planet) much more than the Super Bowl
What's not to like about watching a bunch of puppies frolic and tumble around a fake football field? And the half-time show was all kittens. Who's with me on this?

8. There are no real teams
But there are occasional touchdowns. And sometimes they have to stop the clock to clean up "personal fouls" on the field.

6. I did watch the Super Bowl
My team lost. :(

But they started the Puppy Bowl at 3:00 PM (I watched it before the Super Bowl), and they are rerunning it until 3:00 AM.

4. Agreed. We always watch that...
I like the Kitty Half-time show too. The carbon footprint of that show is much lower too.

5. The last few minutes of the game was exciting. But damn those
puppies and kittens were awful cute with their fat bellies....that little brown puppies that was running from end to end was hilarious.

7. I especially like it when the small-breed pups take on the bigger ones.
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 10:39 PM by rocknation
They may have small-breed bodies, but they have large-breed hearts!

11. I liked Abigale
She was high octane.
Hey, I kept on switching over during the commercials.
Puppies are far more interesting than beer commercials.

BUT!

Tom Petty kicked ass during halftime!

14. Kittens
I watched the puppy bowl for several years but, last time,

they pushed the kittens way past the point of fun and

I can't bear to watch babies be treated that way.

If they fix that, I'll sure tune in again

17. They were much kinder to the kitties this time
They didn't push them at all. The half-time show was shorter and much cuter this year.

18. Our local SPCA had a puppy bowl
of their own stating that these little darlings were all in need of a good home. Here's hoping they found them. And a curse on those who do not spay and neuter their animals!

It was cute, but a little too commercial for my taste.
