14. Some of the backgrounds, maybe
But TP's voice was live for sure.

15. I saw at least two instances where the lead vocals didn't match at all.
If you get a chance to watch it again, there's one point in a song where he points to the crowd and says something. It wasn't even close.

29. Hmm... weird cuz they were definitely not the lead vox from the records
and his voice was a bit shaky.

31. Yep, definitely re-recorded.
I DVR'd it and looked at it again. They may have been running a different mix for TV than what the band was doing.

The drums and Campbell's parts looked live - so I'm thinking TP's vocals got an 'assist.'

8. they do have a ton of sweet gear, don't they?
Campbell's got a climate-controlled warehouse full of guitars - built onto his house.

Must be nice. :)

11. Petty was Norm's Rare Guitars best customer back as far as the early 80's.
& I doubt he's sold any of it.

32. Cool Dry Place
The Traveling Wilburys

Well I woke up this morning
The place was such a wreck
I couldn't reach the bathroom
Thought I'd better clear the deck
I tried to call the lawyer
And ask him what to do
He referred me to his doctor
Who referred me back to you
And when you checked the manual
You kept inside the case
It said 'put it in a cool dry place'

I drove around the city
Looking for a room
That was high above the water
Where my things could be in tune
There was no one to help me
Nobody even cared
I had to got through hell
To get those things up there
I paid my first subscription
Then I joined the idle race
And they said 'store it in a cool dry place'

I got guitar, basses, amplifiers and drums
Accordions and mandolins and things that sometimes hum
Cymbals and harmonicas, capos by the score
And lots of things in boxes laying all around the floor

Some places they get mildew
And others get too hot
Some places are so damp that
Everything you got just rots
All kinds of condensation
Directories of the rain
There's not much compensation
When everything's been stained
Some have sentimental value that
Cannot be erased
Go store it in a cool dry place

We got solids and acoustics
And some from plywood board
And some are trimmed in leather
And some are made with gourds
There's organs and trombones
And reverbs we can use
Lots of DX-7s
And old athletic shoes
I bought a great big building
It took up one whole block
I made an inventory
Of all the things in stock
The place was getting longer
I was up all night
I used up all my pencils
But I went onto spite
The blury of my vision
The sweat upon my face
I've got to put this stuff away
I mustn't leave a trace

The landlord's breathing down my neck
He say's it's a disgrace
So I said 'put it in a cool, dry, place.'
------------------------------------------------

it exists.

9. I'll break it down for you
The Stones SB sucked ass - they were loose and shitty and pretty much phoned it in.

Prince's SB was pretty electrifying playing in the rain and all - not a huge fan, but it was a pretty good show.

The Heartbreakers SB was a bit pat, but they played their shit well and I love their shit - so *&#$ off.

19. The FedEx 'carrier pigeon' spot was pretty good.
Other than that, not so many standouts yet.

And I gotta give the giants' D a lot of credit. They're beating the crap out of Brady today.

33. THANK YOU Michael Powell
that corrupt GOP FCC Chairman for ruining halftime shows, of course JTims don't get off the hook, but still, nothing will beat the healftime show from 2001 where I forget who played the current and new champions and britney spears (before she went nuts), Nsync, Aerosmith, Nelly and Blige played
