After McCain wins the primary, what kind of costumed character should follow him around
to light his notoriously short fuse? A guy in a Bush mask?

4. Mickey, the Midlife Crisis Mouse ... or the May/December Mouse
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 12:18 AM by gauguin57
No, I don't really care what people do in their private lives; I just get sick of GOPers getting up on their moral high horses when they've dumped their previous wives in especially ugly ways.

http://archive.salon.com/mwt/feature/2000/03/06/carol/index.html

"... It seems that McCain, who had once revealed to fellow prisoners of war in Vietnam that he wanted to be president, was restless in 1979. As Navy liaison to the Senate, he didn't have the career momentum he had counted on to propel him into an admiralty and on to the White House. He was 42, mired in stifling ordinariness. (Civilians call it "midlife crisis.")

"But McCain was making bold career moves on the home front, hotly pursuing a 25-year-old blond from a wealthy Arizona family -- while married. Carol, his wife at the time, had once been quite a babe herself apparently, until a near-fatal car accident (while her husband was in Vietnam) left her 4 inches shorter, overweight and on crutches. The couple had three children, whom Carol cared for alone while her husband was in Vietnamese prisons.

"McCain's strategy worked perfectly: After chasing Cindy Hensley around the country for six months, he closed the deal late in the year, had a divorce by February and was married to Hensley shortly thereafter. Bingo! McCain was a candidate for Congress by early 1982, his coffers full, his home in the proper Arizona district purchased. ..."

His death was timed well, however a new life force (hint - not McCain) has 'brought him back' from the brink....... (hint) it might have something to do with SCIENCE (hide the children!)

16. Popeye the Sailor!!
He's a sailor. He's cranky. He's short with little arms he swings around. He talks in gibberish. He thinks a fight is the answer to every problem. He blows his stack easily.

It would be easy to mimick him with the Popeye the Sailor song.

First, reduce him to the caricature he is.

27. I dunno ... but if Romney gets the nom, Flippy the Flip-Flopper (dolphin costume) should suffice.
Flippy can get his dolphin costume out of mothballs from the days of the Kerry campaign. I ran into two Flippy's at one of the first Kerry campaign events after the nominating convention, and yelled at them to "get a real job!"

Following Romney around, they'd be getting a real job.
