While I was thinking about "flyers" in my other thread - no, I won't link to it because tha twould be shameless promotion, and I am above that - as far as you know :) -

I had an idea for a graphic, but unfortunately it wouldn't help the cause to take back the term "Liberal", and would in all probablity make us look even more "elitist".

But I still think it would be funny for us!

Here's what I would like to see you do: Take an image of the "evolution of man" such as this one:



Reverse it and call it "Devolution". Label the Top "Liberal" and devolving down "moderate, DLC, conservative, libertarian, evangelical, neo-conservative", ...you get the idea. Of course, Bush's face would have to go on top of the Chimp's body.
I think it would be even more hilarious if you added candidates faces to all of the stages, but at this point I would suggest for the Democratic side only those candidates who have already dropped out - just so everyone can enjoy it.

Please do this - I want to send it to every Conservative and Libertarian I work with!

Which is why I suggested that this particular one stay within the confines of our own little group. Of course, that is not entirely possible with the advent of Google and the fact that so many popular Google links lead to DU! That is a good thing!

But, if we "make fun" of all the candidates, the worst that can happen is that we are viwed as "partisan" towards Progressive Democratic Candidates and - guess what? We are!

True, it may not be the "reaching out" that I suggested in m other thread.,, but everyone needs a little fun!

It's a little different than I envisioned, but it is the same basic idea. I'd still like to see Swamp Rat do that with all the Presidential Candidates, instead of just the Chimperor.

BTW, I like your username. The species closest to ours. As much as the Christian Right would like to deny it.
