Calling Bush's bluff
Let's assume that Dems came up with the balls to pull funding for the war going against the conventional wisdom that the public would reject us. George keeps the troops in Iraq and they start running out of money.

The staring contest begins and the first to blink loses.

We'd have to make it his fault for keeping them there, not ours. Would we be able to spin the idea of "We're the ones supporting the troops by bringing them home"?

I know that this whole thing isn't likely to happen because the Dem leadership would never take that chance. That's not the point of this post.

1. I can't believe that the people
do not see that if congress pulled funds the president would be able to get them all out no problem. The whole issue of pulling funds and then all of a sudden the troops dont have gas or food or anything would be a reprecusion if funds were pulled and bush still didn't bring them home, all I have to say is when hillary gets in their as president and when she doesn't bring the troops home congress better pull the funds then. I'm getting sick of excuses.

2. It is exactly what should be done.
Having said that, the problem would be the corporate media and how they would present the issue. At this point, I would not expect an honest reporting.

3. The Repug & Dem Leaders want to maintain the US Occupation.

They want to keep the Fiasco going to finalize that Oil Deal.. The Repugs & Dems are afraid that they will be blamed if they force the end of the US Occupation and Iraq goes down the tubes, the Oil goes to other countries, & Iran gains major control in the ME.
