Ralph Nader just needs to go away....
The progressives need to groom others to pass the mantle and allow Nader to be some sort "elder statesman" of the progressive movement - if that is what they want.

If they have not done so already, then he needs to step aside so we don't end up with another four to eight years of repuke domination.

1. If our own party would nominate true progressives....
....he'd be a complete non-factor. Instead, we're poised to nominate the candidate of Wal-Mart.

9. What difference does it make?
I'm not holding my nose any longer and voting the lesser of two evils.

7. No progressive is progressive enough for progressives.
That's because the progressives really aren't interested in getting anything done, they are only interested in bitching about the way things ought to be & the way things ought to be will never happen in a million years.

4. Nader is Vain
In 2000 he convinced alot of progressives that there was no difference between Gore and Bush. Anyone still think that holds water? He made the same basic statement about Kerry and Bush.

Now it'll be again this year the same.

I'm sorry, but while I can agree that Obama and Clinton aren't wild eyed liberals who are going to do everything I'd hope, I can recognize that either one would be tremendously better for this country than any Republican nominee.

At this point I just see Nader pursuing this stuff out of vanity. There are better ways to help the progressive movement in this country he should pursue.

5. I could not have said it better myself.
If only Nader could look in the mirror and realize he is doing more harm than good...

8. Not a chance
If Nader really thought he had any chance he would have been in the race from the very beginning either running as a Democrat or announcing himself as a third party candidate (even if he had to invent his own party). He seems to get off on being the spoiler and I agree it is vanity. Every 4 years he gets a platform that allows him to be in the news for awhile and by coming in late in the process it limits how much money he has to spend. If he knows he can't win and I am sure he does the only thing he can be doing is 'punishing' the Democrats for not being 'liberal/progressive' enough for him. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! On the other hand I don't think it would hurt Clinton and Obama to approach Nader and find out what it would take to make him happy and to keep him out of the race. Ignoring him just seems to goad him into these quixotic campaigns.
