Who do I want to win tonight: Mittens or McCain?

On the one hand, I have a long standing bet with my BIL from Massachusetts that Romney wouldn't be able to get the nomination. On the other hand, I think he's far easier to run against in November, since he's such a transparently pandering politician, while McCain at least conveys the notion that he's an "independent thinker".

Who do we like?

2. I think we want Mittens.
He is easier to paint into a corner.

But then the ultra right just seems to hate McCain.

Hmmm... flip a coin?

5. Williard is the weaker candidate
Mittens would be easier to beat in the general election.

4. It's a tough one
McCain has no money so if he loses it will be difficult for him to do the ads for Super Tuesday.

Mitwit has tons of money and if he loses he'll have to spend some more of his own. A fool and his money...

9. Bush Crime Family wants Mitt as the next Pres.

Bush family hedges its bets for 2008
By Alexander Bolton
March 26, 2007

Much of Jeb’s inner circle has picked Romney. The list includes Sally Bradshaw, who served as Gov. Bush’s campaign manager in 1994 and 1998 and as his first gubernatorial chief of staff; Ann Herberger, who was the governor’s campaign finance director; and Mandy Fletcher, who recently headed Bush’s think tank, Foundation for Florida’s Future, and worked on his reelection. In addition, Alan Philp, Bush’s former policy director, is coordinating policy and issues for Romney.

Jeb Bush’s former lieutenant governor Toni Jennings, Al Cardenas, who served as Florida GOP chairman under Jeb, David Griffin, who headed Jeb’s second -term transition office and was the Florida Lottery Secretary, Sherri McVay, executive director of Jeb’s statewide advocacy council, and Kristy Campbell, the former governor’s press secretary, are all playing roles in Romney’s campaign.

This has not been photo-shopped.

Why does the BFEE & Cheney's Crime Family want Mitt? Please take your best guess.

8. Mittens definitely but not sure I "outsmarting" myself on that one
My recurrent theme is that if Clinton is our nominee with consistently bad press from the MSM who seems to dislike her (or them, take your pick) and is running against the can-do-no-wrong, war hero, straight shooter, then we may have a tough hill to climb.

Romney,on the other hand, is no favorite of the MSM who see his as the phony he is and so will not be cutting him as much slack in the GE
IMO Edwards or Obama would get better press in the GE than Clinton but would still be up against McCain's Media Lovefest, unfortunately

13. I want him too because
I'm thinking if by chance a reTHUG gets elected MacCain might be a better prez than Mitten. I know that's not saying much but at least MacCain is his own man. I'm really sick of puppet leaders, would rather chance someone who has a mind of their own.

12. I hope it tightens up the race, whoever wins

I'd like to see the Republican nomination go down to the wire, with the goose-steppers still wondering which Fuhrer they're going to be goose-stepping behind.

16. What matters most is who the Dems elect. The GOP candidate is less important....
than the Dem. candidate. None of the GOP candidates is popular. What IS reality, though, is anything that will bring the Repubs out of their easy chairs to go vote en masse....and that is a Clinton on the ticket. It wouldn't reallly matter WHO the Repub candidate is.
