1. Although Reid redeemed himself somewhat yesterday, I grow more and
more frustrated with him and Pelosi.

I don't have a lot of faith that either of them will become the leaders we need.

2. What I seem to recall from 11th grade civics
is that "lame duck" refers to the period between the election and the inauguration, when there is a president-elect, and the sitting president really can't or won't do much. IOW, Bush won't actually be a lame duck until after this election. There is plenty of damage he can cause between now and November. :-(
