Now I see why Landrieu voted with rethugs 4 immunity 4 telcoms - he
promised to hold North American conference in NEw Orleans if she would vote for
immunity for ATT and Verizon -

1. I hate to be cynical and political - but I was glad we had such a handle on the votes
that the Ds in R states had a little breathing room.

3. she voted Nay on cloture - then when we had it sewn up by several votes
she changed it to Yea.

That gave her the chance to go back home to a red state with a "clean, moderate" voting record, without hurting the Dems on this issue.
