Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 12:08 AM by Saint Etienne17
I live in SD and I love walking to work in the morning (3 mile walk), but if it's raining I'll have to hitch a ride :(

edit: my parents live in Chatsworth and Reseda, so I hope the tornado warning does not affect the valley :scared:

13. We've had some thunderstorms here on the Central Coast, and
a dusting of snow on the hills at 1500 feet. Rare.

Upside, we've gotten ~6 inches of rain.

15. There was a tornado in LA back in the early eighties.
It was the same year half the Santa Monica pier got blown away in an El Nino. The tornado hit in downtown at the convention center.

Up further north in my county we have snow.

21. I remember that one
I lived down in O.C. at the time and I remember seeing a picture of a building with its front torn off on the news. This had left a bathroom exposed as well as other rooms and I couldn't get the image out of my head of thinking what if you were there on the toilet at the time and all of a sudden, there you were just facing the street in utter shock.
Incongruous I know, but that image and thought stayed with me for awhile.

16. There have probably been about 25-30 tornadoes in LA in the past 100 years.
I think the last one was in 2004/2003. No biggie.

I don't think there's ever been a death. I'd have to check.

I'm in between the Malibu area and the Long Beach area, I'm in the South Bay. I though maybe I'd get it from both sides :hide: but nothing happened here except the rain. :o :-)
