Jindal Faces Ethics Investigation

1 hour, 26 minutes ago

Newspaper reports from Baton Rouge claim newly elected Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal ? who ran on a platform touting ethics reform and tougher ethics laws in state government is being investigated for a possible ethical breach.

State investigators are trying to determine if Jindal failed to disclose more than $100,000 in campaign contributions, according to The Advocate in Baton Rouge.

According to the report, The State Board of Ethics ordered a public hearing to explore the charges.

NewsChannel 6 and WDSU.com will have more on this story as it develops.

2. I couldn't care what he did with his campaign reporting, as long this calling for new ethics laws

crap goes away.

3. Um, i think you are going a bit too far.
Why would we hope for ethics legislation to go away? We absolutely need ethics reform in Louisiana. And while I have no faith that Jindal is someone who will bring meaningful ethics reform, it is kind of silly to hope that ethics reform legislation will go away.

4. Well I believe in pretty good government. Remember when Jindal and his type were dismissed as the
"the good government" candidates?

And I know several people who have said their companies are through doing business with the state if the bid processes are expanded. They've said at some point it's just no longer worth it.

5. I think it's pretty funny
Supposedly, Jindal is the rising star of the GOPers. Just do a search on the RW site, RedState, and you will see that they have high hopes of Jindal becoming POTUS, after he "cleans up Louisiana." He had better clean his own house first. Just one more instance of republic hypocracy. And, yes Louisiana is rather ethics-challenged, but in today's political world, it is no more ethics-challenged than many other states I could name.
