will John Edwards message on eliminating poverty worm deeper into people's minds, with the chance that they might face poverty in the future? It doesn't seem so.

It seems strange that people (Republican candidates) are still talking about National Security. The economy has been getting worse and worse, people are losing their homes, jobs and healthcare... and the boogie-man is worse to people than reality?

All you have to do is fill your gas tank and purchase groceries - and you know you are fucked - if not now, soon. Very few can keep up at this rate.

Most Americans are just a few paychecks away from poverty. Why don't they care?

Giving people an $800 check won't do anything. C'mon - are you really going to cash it and go on a shopping spree? Or are you going to hold on to it, scared that it's not even close to being enough to get you out of the hole you're about to fall into.
