Hi Truthseekers, hope you all had a peaceful MLK Day.

In other news the US economy continues to slug toward recession, but Chucklenutz is holding tight to his deluded optimism that he can still be "wise about the money . . . . " as long as Congress passes more tax cuts. Yup, the very thing that got us into this pickle is to be our salvation according to Mensa Man.

While the global stock markets tumble, Bush on Friday said his "nothing new here" economic stimulus package would be worth "'around one percent' of US gross domestic product and offer tax rebates, incentives for businesses and other measures to encourage growth" the Associated Press reports, continuing that "Dealers said they had hoped for surprises in Bush's much-anticipated announcement, after high hopes that Bush would announce strong measures to prevent the US economy going into recession, the markets did not find enough to offset all the bad news coming through on the banks and the collapse of the US housing market."

So, as Bush drags the entire globe into a recession, what will be the reaction of American voters at the polls? An article in today's Florida News-Press states that "economic security has supplanted the Iraq war as the most important issue facing the country, according to a recent poll of older Florida voters sponsored by the AARP." As goes Florida, so goes the nation?

I think that most people don't know about Reagan from the
working class people that I know. Education take time and effort, especially

either a snob or a good observer or an 'inert gasbag' these days,
but not a DLC clone that we haven't seen here that powerful since 2003 at DU.

When I look at Obama, my first thought is "he's too young." I think he's a very excellent person, but what has come out of his mouth demonstrates that he doesn't understand some of the history of the past 50 years and how it affects us now. The remarks he's made about "baby boomers" and the 60's and 70's and Social Security just scare the crap out of me. Who does he think is going to vote him in office? He can take back what he says, but he shouldn't be saying the stuff in the first place.

Worked late, came home, tried to stream NovaM cause, and I'm even a premium member, but for SOME strange reason, Ithe mp3 stream doesn't launch my Mac's iTunes anymore. It tells me I have to use Flip4Mac, which I already have. Downloaded it again, but nothing is working tonight.

Doesn't look like anyone here has a similar complaint... Well, hope it's a good one I can listen to later..

178. Something in the air tonite. I just had the worst cat fight ever in my house.

I heard a weird cat "scream" and ran out to the living room. There was LuLu with her claw stuck in poor Pumpkin's face, who was just lying on the chair. I couldn't get LuLu's nail out of Pumpkin's lip area! In the meantime, Simon and Scarlett are right there ready to attack. They did and there was one big scramble. By then the claw came out and Pumpkin ran. This was really weird!!! Simon and Scarlett kept wanting to attack and i had to chase them.

I missed the live stream at 6 PM (pacific) because I watched the half-assed debate. Figured I would listen to the Green960 stream at 11:00 out of San Francisco. There was some fucking college basketball game on for the first 20 minutes or so, but then they joined the show in "progress". Except it wasn't Mike. It was Harrison and a rerun of Friday's show.

What's up with that? :(

He listed all of the reasons why Obama should not have said anything even remotely positive about Ronnie Raygun. He traced the history of anti-union, anti-middleclass policies and the legacy of death in Central America and racism here at home. It was then that "technical difficulties" took him off the air in the third hour.
