Happy MLK Day. Next year we could have a president who voted AGAINST it!
1983: McCain Voted Against Creating Martin Luther King Holiday. McCain voted against the Hall (D-IN) motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill to designate the third Monday of every January as a federal holiday in honor of the late civil rights leader the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

3. Why don't we bring that up continually until
even toddlers are asking why did John McCain vote against Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday? I mean really. If one of ours had made any sort of unpopular move at any point in our entire lives, we'd be slaughtered in a brutal nagging blood bath for it. We miss far far far too many chances to swing things our way.

6. I certainly hope we drill it into every head
out there, continuously, until they hear it in their sleep.
