11. I'm trying to re-consider Tom Cruise from a clinical perspective these days,
but all I can come up with is, "Persuade me that this guy is not decompensating before our very eyes."

I'm no clinician and certainly no trained actor, but Cruise is really off-balance lately.

25. Is the audio on this from Oprah's show?
(I've been without TV for about 25 years and 99.9% of the time DO NOT miss it).

Pairing the Cheney visual with the Cruise audio is chilling, eh? Eh!!!

Cruise just sounds Totally Freeging Insane.
This must be another case of the Emperor's lovely clothes --
We all want to believe that the rich Hollywood guy who's
made all these movies just COULDN'T be stark raving
bonkers, certainly.

3. I don't think he has any bones in his body.
He's a human Slinky.

Which leads to my favorite Slinky joke (originally applied to Bush):

Q: How is Mitt Romney like a Slinky?
A: He's not useful for much, but you can get a good laugh from kicking him down the stairs.

8. This is exactly why Romney is scary
The way this primary, which I dub to myself the "Primary from Hell" is going, I wake up in a sweat thinking that my number 2 nightmare scenario is playing out.
Number one, is of course a coup by the Bushies supported by Blackwater.
Number 2 however, is Hillary, Barack or Edwards is the Democratic nominee. Bloomberg also runs as an Independent. This is ideal for the neocons, who will put everything behind Romney. He is good looking, and as shallow and mean spirited as Smirky. He would go along with every horrible scheme, and the nightmare will go on...

Hopefully, my nightmare scenarios are just delusions of an insane mind.
I am worried however at the tone of this primary, and the discounting of any real platform such as Kucinich's. Even on this board, Kucinich doesn't seem to exist that much anymore, as if everyone was hopping on the media bandwagon.

Remember, this is not politics as usual. If we don't drastically change the approach and restore the Constitution, then the American experiment will have failed as surely as the Roman Republic.

14. Yeah and his years as a businessman is one of his highest qualifications
That alone is creepy.

I have never bought into the "flip-flop" idea in candidates---I believe they live and learn like all of us---but Romney is a true flip-flopper. He, of all the candidates, seems to be all about himself and his ambitions.

His spiel about illegal immigration is really pandering---playing who is the toughest on the issue by arguing against McCain's more moderate approach (one of two issues McCain is sane about; the other is global warming).

...yeah... he's just 'great'! :sarcasm:

His insurance "plan" isn't working so well either and is costing the poor/middle class a lot more than thought.

That's now also being investigated and reassessed.

Group: MA health coverage is too expensive

March 8, 2007

http://www.fiercehealthcare.com/story/group-ma-health-coverage-is-too-expensive/2007-03-09

While it's all well and good that Massachusetts has negotiated a low monthly premium for its new bare-bones health plan, the initial numbers publicized by state officials are deceptive, according to the nonprofit Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights (FTCR). The group, which describes itself as nonpartisan, says that the low monthly premiums touted by state officials seriously understate the actual costs patients will face.

While the state's basic plan comes in at a modest $173 per month premium for individuals, such plans will impose very substantial additional costs on consumers, according to an FTCR analysis.
These costs will typically include 20 percent responsibility for outpatient fees, 35 percent responsibility for hospital costs, out of pocket maximums of as much as $5,000 per individual and $10,000 per family and separate drug deductibles of $500 (with co-pays as much as $100 per month for meds). When these additional costs are figured in, basic plans alone could consume as much as 30 percent of family income, the group says. These costs make the state's health insurance mandate too pricey for many residents, the group suggests.

To get a detailed analysis of the new reform-oriented health plans:
