about the same time I did.

3. Honestly, I'll still be surprised if he leaves.
I'm not usually a tin foil hatter, but for years I thought we could see a "national emergency" that stops either the election or the handoff. I don't think it as much now since the D's in Washington have obviously made a deal to enable Bushco, and the 2 top contenders on the D side of the Nom are players.

5. Still one year too many...
...okay, actually more like eight years too many, but that subject line did put a smile on my face. :D ("There's something good about everything," as my great-grandmother used to say.) My little brother got me the "Out of Office Countdown Calendar" for Christmas, but it's on my wall at home so I hadn't been keeping track as much lately.

Can't wait until that wanker is out of office forever! :bounce: :bounce:

6. Sorry, but I can't celebrate...
That means there's only one year left before Bush gets away with his crimes in the Oval Office.

Our Congress is too spineless to impeach him. Bush will live out the rest of his days in comfortable exile like too many dictators in the past.

8. Sorry to don my tinfoil, but...
...we're also one terror attack away from him decidering he can't leave office "for the good of the country".

And no, at this point, I definitely would not put it past him to try it, were that to happen. Actual success in doing so, now... that's a different story.

11. This country held a Presidential election during the middle..
of a freaking Civil War. He could try it because he's stupid and arrogant enough, but I seriously doubt it will fly.

12. I agree. We hope he leaves in a year, but I don't think that's a given.
When we attack Iran dissent will be "discouraged" and if we have another attack on our soil - whatever the source - it's entirely possible (or likely) that this crowd won't leave office.

13. Yes..but what do we do when he and Cheney DON'T Leave?
I'm thinking:

-Domestic Terror Attack in Late October, 2008.

-War with Iran

-Darth Dick Pulls the Trigger on Shrub.
