Did I miss the thread announcing the end of the Iraq occupation?
It must be here somewhere. *SURGE AN ASTONISHING SUCCESS! AMERICA WINS!*

Why do I ask? Because we seem to be fixated on political shenanigans from the opposition`s camp. Even former President Clinton has busied himself with this garbage. Most of it makes my head spin no matter where it`s coming from. Our country sits in near ruin and we`re hearing about how Tyra snagged Hillary`s juicy post-mistress secrets and how Barack`s middle name isn`t really Hussein. Not much out there about John Edwards because he`s talking about the same crowd that controls the networks that called a two-star race months ago.

Back to the occupation. Iraqis have waited how many years for running water? Soldiers back from the occupation are waiting how many months for a VA appointment? The interest on our national debt was how many millions yesterday? How quickly we forgot that it`s the economy, stupid. Hit us in our wallets and we go ballistic. Kill or maim someone else`s family member and we apparently chock it up to life with George.

I`ve seen poll after poll that lists the importance of the War in Iraq in the 20-something percentile. That truly makes me sick. Three thousand, nine hundred and twenty-seven of our soldiers have been killed, twenty-three so far this month.

1. the economy sucks, we still toture, wiretap illegally and treat the airports like
concentration camps. Think any of that will change under another Clinton presidency? Think again.

Bill Clinton ESCALATED the bogus 'war' on drugs. Hillary will do the same.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

2. It`s not about the Clintons.
It`s about dead and maimed soldiers and civilians.

3. it's about the status quo that causes it...
I want to see peace and sanity restored just as badly as you do.

4. No, not really.
I think there was a thread about * getting another $190,000,000,000+ to continue his adventures in Iraq and Afghanistan.

5. Bush got what he wanted.
The 'surge' succeeded in diverting attention way from Iraq. Now it's primary season, so no one in the MSM is covering Iraq (not that they did much, anyway).

And now, as our leading candidates are starting to believe the surge is working, they are less inclined to end this stupid war.
