If Hillary wins the nomination, Bill better COOL IT on the good cop/bad cop routine...
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 06:48 PM by Bicoastal
I don't care how good of a president he was (and he made some sizable mistakes, let's be honest)--I will NOT vote for Hillary just to see Bill Clinton get into the White House for a third term. And yes, I will vote for her if she wins the nomination, but...if it makes ME steamed to see a former President slinging mud 24/7 for a Presidential candidate, imagine how Independents and on-the-fence Republicans will feel later in the year...

SCREW this two-for-one deal--if it's really and truly all about Hillary, Bill should stop fighting her battles for her. Stay on the sidelines, or don't get involved at all.

3. I realize that. I was making a comment about the fact that they are friends with Repukes.
I wasn't paraphrasing you.

Or don't you read anything but headlines?

13. Trust me, I'm impressed with neither Clinton nor Obama. Both are friendly with Repukes....
... and neither is telling me specifically (rather than in poetic generalities) what they're going to do about NAFTA, union-busting, the poverty seniors are living in, the horrific plight of the working poor, the absence of jobs since they're all in Commie-F China now (thanks to Repukes and right wing Democrats), and other such things. :(

4. I'd expect Bill to come out swinging for any Dem candidate.
I don't know why he should do less for HRC.

14. Bill Clinton needs no advice from us. He is the only Democrat
to the Presidency in years.

15. Eh. I don't vote for a candidate's spouse. I vote for a candidate, figure adults
make their own decisions, as much as possible, regardless of the domestic partner. Realize Bill Clinton is a big figure in national politics, but regardless which Dem. candidate you support, it would seem reasonable to put our values in action in regards a female candidate.

Her husband has baggage. Color me shocked. Not.

20. Hillary has no record in office. She would be a minor Blue Dog in the Senate without Bill.
Edited on Sun Jan-20-08 03:14 AM by Leopolds Ghost
Repubs love female Blue Dogs because the only issues they stand with Dems on are social (womens issues, GLBT, etc.) the womens caucus in the Senate (and house too) is wealthy, suburban, machine oriented (because machines like to pick candidates in "lock" jurisdictions who appeal to targeted gender / ethnic groups to up turnout) and pro-business. Female, upper middle class, liberal pro-labor firebrands are a rarity (Pelosi is certainly among the former, not the latter -- Northeast big-govt, anti-populist, pro-business liberal who rose thru the ranks on the basis of her wealth and fundraising prowess -- sadly.)
