excuse me, but wasn't it bu$h*'s fucked up economic policies that got us where we are???

CNN also said bu$h* wants to get 'his plan' implemented to he could crow about it in his state of the union address.

~snip~ Bush wants to devote a portion to incentives for businesses to invest. Democrats want to add spending for food stamps, unemployment benefits and infrastructure projects.

2. A "tout"?
Isn't that what they call the low-lifes at the race track who try to sucker novice bettors into throwing away their money on a bad horse?

CNN is actually saying that Bush is conniving and scheming to get his cunning plan enacting so he can talk it up in his State of the Whatever Address? Seven years in, and they're finally figuring it out.

4. You accomplish nothing investing in a business if there is
no one to buy your products. The idea is to make sure that people have money to spend. They will then buy your products and the business grows without help from the government. To bad that no one in our government has the common sense to see this.

7. the biggest "growth" in American jobs is in retail and service sector - 2 areas badly hit
when people no longer have disposable income. With the cost of energy (home heating and gas for cars) climbing, and the cost of food up so high there just isn't left over money to fritter away on eating out or trips to the mall.

Henry Ford had it right - he paid his workers enough to be able to afford to buy his cars! Will this $800 also have to be paid back in next years taxes? The $300 was a loan on the following years tax refund - I bet this one is too.

6. This morning on WJ a caller asked where the money would
be coming from to pay for the "rebates." The guest said, "We'll borrow it." Will bush say that in his SOTU address?
