White House pushes for random drug testing at schools
Should schools conduct random drug testing of students? The White House deputy drug czar will make that suggestion at a forum in Des Moines Thursday morning.

The forum starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Highline Community College Student Union Building.

Bertha Madras, Deputy Director for Demand Reduction in the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, will be there and pushing a policy to conduct random, mandatory drug testing in local schools.

New Jersey School Superintendent Dr. Lisa Brady says random drug testing in schools is a good idea.

6. Exactly!!
We all know he would
either flunk the test or
write an Executive Order
that excluded him from taking
it.

13. and get DNA samples put into the data bank before they grow up.
Sure seems to be a push to gather a shit-load of DNA. That DNA 'Ancestry' search as gave me the willies. What the hell are they planning to do with all THAT information?

5. Fuck You, White House!
I'm sorry, but I want the government testing my children for anything.

This is probably some partnership with the drug companies. If students
test 'positive', they be deemed depressed or in need of some pharmaceutical
remedy.

What a bunch of shit.

Don't mess with my children, assholes!

12. No fucking way will I let anyone drug test my child. I'll pull him out of school first.
Luckily, he's a freshman and may be finished with the public school system by the time this take effect. If not, he can finish up in a private school or online. Fuck Big Brother.

They already have dogs drug sniffing randomly at our school and that seems to be working just fine. Enough is enough.

14. Our school board here in Tennessee just voted to end
random drug testing in High School because it was unconstitutional. A lot of parents were complaining that the rights of their children were being violated. :dem:

22. Teachers? They're unionized, for Pete's sake!
That's the absolute LAST thing we need in this country: a bunch of union members voting Dem AND teaching our kids so we can't manipulate them when they grow up! Why do you hate America so much??
