I am sick to DEATH of hearing about baseball & steroids..

Sports figures are overpaid lummoxes who get paid to remain adolescent males, playing "games" and posing for pictures, ad they get paid MORE to get our kids to lust after their shoes or clothes..

They could inject steroids into their eyeballs for all I care.. People will still go watch them play, and their "masters" will still get insanely rich , as they "use" them ..

Cities will still bear the brunt of building them "play palaces", to escape the extortion threat of their leaving...

Where are the non-stop hearings about voting machines? where are the blue-ribbon panels to investigate the ownership/proprietary maintenance of the mechanics of our election system?

If a bunch of grunting, sweating millionaires want to shrivel their testicles, and risk their health, I don't give a crap. I don't want ANY more congressional involvement.

If the drugs are illegal, it should be a POLICE matter...not a congressional matter..

1. People are starving in the streets and dying in Iraq...
...but Congress is focusing on, I don't know, protecting the reputation of a sports league?

:puke:

What a fucking embarrassment.

8. term limits is the only thing that would get some of them out
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 07:34 PM by SoCalDem
People are lazy and just keep sending the same ones back..

2 terms & yer out..is the best way to go.. and NO pensions until 20 years served (would have to serve in the house & senate ..with 4 yr terms for the house, in order to do that)

NO bennies when your're done.. just a kick in the ass & a "see ya later"..thanks for the fish !"

5. I agree with you.
But we're peeing the wind. People lurves their sports. To take time out to investigate a sport is obscene. The investigation, like a lot of what the government does, is not vital to a functioning society-the ONLY thing the government is for.

10.  I'm not even shocked anylonger
I expect NOTHING from this congress at all . They have proven one thing to me , they are not fit or worthy of the positions they hold . It must have been the move on /betrayus debate or some of the other insane things they wasted time on .

They are all there though when voting time comes around just like the presidential hopefuls . I wonder what surprises are in store for the people when who ever it is wins .
