The Tweety Show (Sun. AM)
Since much of what we post about Tweety is repetition, and I, for one have no problem with repeating all the horrible things which he does over and over since maybe, just maybe, it will become a groundswell which might eradicate him, "Drown him", as he would say, over at MSNBC. That being said, I want to say that there are few things which have not been mentioned before or at least not recently in my perusal of the threads.

1. Tweety says: "Hnh" a lot. This is uttered when he is either in agreement or by logical extension HAS to agree with a point made by a panelist or guest. This is almost always followed by his (attempted) upstaging by taking the offensive on the next question to the adjoining panelist. The tell-tale sign here is that he points...I know that this is done routinely on these programs so the panelist knows that he/she is next but he points higher - up by his shoulder - than he does when he is simply giving direction.

2. Tweety's slobbering more these days -someone posted on this subject the other day...right before the NH Primary, he was on with too little makeup and he was very blotchy and looked just terrible. He needs better medical management, his somatic disease processes may be out of control. His imbibition of Et-OH may also be up, and thus his psychiatric condition is completely out of whack...something which has been well-documented here at DU and elsewhere.

3. He is definitely aware of a move to demand his ouster from MSNBC...this I hear from the inside..I have an interesting connection with someone in production there. Of course, he doesn't give this much credence publically, even at the network, but he's not a bit nervous I'm sure. There are no guarantees in broadcasting, although unlike some others at MSNBC, he could make a lateral move over to Faux and become their chief Washington Cocktail Party Insider Correspondent.

Disclaimer: I know...some of you don't like these threads; don't bother to tell me that I should turn off/throw out my TV, that Tweety doesn't count, that threads like this waste bandwidth. If you don't like them, don't read them...the Subject line, at least of this thread should have warned you away. Thanks for your attention.

1. Interesting post

Is the demand for his ouster from the inside based on his increasingly offensive on-air statements and demeanor?

2. Inside and outside...
lots of the employees over there, and I don't mean the car-park people, are tired of him...and there are certainly enough boards about him out here on the "Internets"

HA!

4. I have been stunned by his increasingly offensive behavior
And I wondered how much longer he would get away with it. I have also been watching Dan Abram's show defending Clinton and suggesting that the media is biased. He is in charge of the network, and perhaps attempting to show some balance in the network to counter Tweety's obvious sexist attacks.

7. I can not imagine that Keith O. would not be saying some things
privately and probably Schuster as well. You can read it on his face. And Mika B. was just infuriated when he made his big spiel about HRC being in the Senate Only because of Bill's indiscretions and the sympathy that results. Of course, it is a chess match, because they are keeping "Mr. NO Ratings" Tucker right now...

3. Tweets has turned into a bit of a rabid dog these days
and I agree, he doesn't look well. Maybe he needs to resign to spend more time with the family?

HA!

5. I thought your post was spot on. I may have to tune in again..ugh..
just to watch the demise. Did you really mean he was not nervous? I was hoping he was since KO has taken over his popularity on MSNBC.

6. During NH Primary Night...

did anyone else see the bad body language between Tweety and Keith? As soon as they went to break, you could see the professional/personal ,for want of a better word: hostility (that may be strong).

Tweety was generally pretty quiet and Keith was cutting him off b/c there were breaks or intrusive coverage...he's good at that stuff from his sports-coverage days. They know how to handle contemporaneous breaking events on the news. If you think about it, the best people to handle the mechanism of breaking news as we now cover it would be someone well-versed in sports broadcasting. To see real journalism as the old school would know it, watch the first 3 hours of Kennedy Assassination coverage by NBC. Remarkable...
