1. The first five minutes after the attack would have RUINED any other President.
The Mainstream Media had invested SOOOOOO much in their puffery of this guy that they HAD to stick with him on 9/11, and try to cover up for him afterward.

Which they most certainly did.

Until his bumbling incompetence made it impossible for them to any longer.

34. And he said TWICE afterward, in October and again in December...
that "when I saw the first plane hit" he thought it was a bad pilot.

Question - HOW did he see "the first plane hit" - there was no news coverage of the first plane, and the first video of it was released a day or two later. The only way he could have seen "the first plane hit" was if he knew it was going to happen.

In case anyone doubts he said it, BOTH events where he said so are still posted on the official White House website.

Talk about stupid!

35. Here are the links to the White House website (and actual quotes):
These actually took place in December 2001 and January 2002 (mistaken in previous message)

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2001/12/20011204-17.html

"I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/01/20020105-3.html

"when we walked into the classroom, I had seen this plane fly into the first building. There was a TV set on."

So, the question is, HOW did he see the first plane hit unless he knew it was going to happen?????

9. 9/11 Contradictions: Bush in the Classroom

David Ray Griffin.

The official story of 9/11 is riddled with internal contradictions. One of these contradictions involves the question of how long President Bush remained in classroom in Sarasota, Florida, on the morning of 9/11.

Bush was there to publicize his education policy by being photographed listening to students read. He arrived at the school at 8:55 AM, at which time he reportedly first learned that a plane had struck one of the Twin Towers. Dismissing the crash as an accident, Bush said that they would go ahead and “do the reading thing anyway.”

Bush entered the second-grade classroom of teacher Sandra Kay Daniels at about 9:03. At about 9:06, the president’s chief of staff, Andrew Card, came in and whispered in Bush’s ear, telling him, Card later reported, “A second plane hit the second Tower. America is under attack.”

What Happened Next

Thanks to Michael Moore’s film Fahrenheit 9/11, which came out in 2004, the world knows what happened next: Bush remained sitting there minute after minute after minute.

10. the question that has always bothered me . . . and one reason (of many) . . .
that I don't believe the "official" story of 9/11, is . . .

What the hell were the Secret Service doing? . . .

everything I've ever heard about the Secret Service says that they are ultra-cautious when protecting the president . . . so here we have an attack on New York and on the Pentagon that, supposedly, no one knows anything about . . . Bush's itinerary had been widely publicized, and everyone knew he was at that school . . . was there not a possibility that another plane could be heading for the school where the president was reading? . . . yet the Secret Service let him sit there, doing NOTHING to protect him from what might easily have been a much wider attack . . .

unless . . .

unless . . .

unless they KNEW that he was in no danger . . . unless they KNEW that no one was going to crash a plane into that elementary school . . . unless they KNEW the parameters of the attack in advance, and had no reason to be concerned for the president's safety . . .

what I want to know is . . . How did they KNOW this? . . . and WHO told them? . . .

11. Ironically enough
Chimpy had spent the previous evening at a resort hotel in Sarasota. In addition to the usual Secret Service security detail that would be expected with a presidential visit, on this particular occasion, the snipers on the roof were armed with more than guns. They also had surface to air missile launchers. The type of thing one might have if you expected an attack from planes.

And there is also the account of the van full of "middle eastern men" disguised as a TV news crew who attempted to enter the resort early on the morning of 9-11-01, claiming they had arranged for a pool side interview with the Chimp. They didn't get through. Some have speculated this as an assassination attempt, but I don't think Dumbass would have ever been in danger, due to the excuses given by the suspects. Chimpy in front of a camera at 6:00 AM after a morning swim?? Yeah, on what planet??

But if Chimpy wasn't worried about some threat in the first place, why was he camping at a hotel, and not at his brother's house? I'm assuming the governor's mansion had a spare room available.

Oddly enough, Poppy & Dick had a slumber party at the White House on 9-10 and then the old man went to his Carlyle Group meeting in the morning. I don't remember if Bandar was there or not. But Shafiq Bin Laden definitely was.

29. They admit that Cheney was personally overseeing the "drills"
Which just happened to be scheduled for that same morning (and would add to the confusion which delayed a response from NORAD or the local air bases).

As I've posted elsewhere, Dick spent the night of 9-10 in the White House with Poppy Bush. Nobody would question the old man dropping by to visit his son, but Chimp was in Florida. And the Vice President doesn't live at the White House. So what were they doing there? One might think that Cheney KNEW he would be needed in an "acting president" capacity in the morning. And drills wouldn't be enough of a reason for that. But a real impending attack (with the pResident and half the cabinet out of town) might be.

HOW?
Because they knew, that's how.

I think the only thing that might have been a surprise was the total collapse of the WTC. But not the attacks, per se.
Not the attacks.

43. WHAT FRAME OF MIND
must you be in to accept your death so quickly, so peacefully, not knowing what we know today? Only knowing that one minute, you were joking around with colleagues, the next, you were taking a piss in a urinal, the next, you were trying to look something up on the internet. Your building was slammed, no one has any idea at all what happened.

To be up so high there, to have to make the choice, to know what you're leaving behind, again, there are no words.

38. Here's what somebody on OpEdNews was trying to tell me about the passport...
"Please try to get your facts right. Since Atta was in the cockpit in the front of the plane, and since pieces of the plane did indeed travel completely through the building, it is not unreasonable to suppose that the passport passed though during the initial impact. The passport was found and turned over to the police before the building collapsed."

Yup. That pretty much demolishes my position.

In fact, if you want to see the entire stock of "debunkers'" excuses, fresh off various 9/11 "myth" sites, have a look at the http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_warren_p_080111_the_incompetence_exc.htm">entire thread. Those doing BushCo's PR work for them will be readily apparent.

IMPEACH CHENEY

They Thought They Were Free - Read by Dave Emory

The Germans, 1933-45

Excerpt from pages 166-73 of "They Thought They Were Free" First published in 1955

By Milton Mayer

But Then It Was Too Late

"What no one seemed to notice," said a colleague of mine, a philologist, "was the ever widening gap, after 1933, between the government and the people. Just think how very wide this gap was to begin with, here in Germany. And it became always wider. You know, it doesn’t make people close to their government to be told that this is a people’s government, a true democracy, or to be enrolled in civilian defense, or even to vote. All this has little, really nothing, to do with knowing one is governing.

"What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, little by little, to being governed by surprise; to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if the people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security. And their sense of identification with Hitler, their trust in him, made it easier to widen this gap and reassured those who would otherwise have worried about it.

....

"Yes," I said.

"You see," my colleague went on, "one doesn’t see exactly where or how to move. Believe me, this is true. Each act, each occasion, is worse than the last, but only a little worse. You wait for the next and the next. You wait for one great shocking occasion, thinking that others, when such a shock comes, THE SHOCK DOCTRINE will join with you in resisting somehow. You don’t want to act, or even talk, alone; you don’t want to ‘go out of your way to make trouble.’ Why not?—Well, you are not in the habit of doing it. And it is not just fear, fear of standing alone, that restrains you; it is also genuine uncertainty.

"Uncertainty is a very important factor, and, instead of decreasing as time goes on, it grows. Outside, in the streets, in the general community, ‘everyone’ is happy. One hears no protest, and certainly sees none. You know, in France or Italy there would be slogans against the government painted on walls and fences; in Germany, outside the great cities, perhaps, there is not even this. In the university community, in your own community, you speak privately to your colleagues, some of whom certainly feel as you do; but what do they say? They say, ‘It’s not so bad’ or ‘You’re seeing things’ or ‘You’re an alarmist.’

Michael Parenti - Terrorism, Globalism & Conspiracy

"Coincidence Theory: By shear chance things just happen repeatedly and coincidentally to benefit their interests without any conscious connivance by them, which is most uncanny. There is also: Stupidity Theory, Innocence Theory, Momentary Aberration Theory, Incompetence Theory, Unintended Consequences Theory and Innocent Cultural Proclivities Theory."

Everyone I knew was absolutely in shock that day. I recall wondering what else was in store--attacks on other cities, perhaps?

Then I saw the footage from Florida, where the Bushboy reacted to the most shocking news of the year with what looked like mild annoyance, as if someone had told him that he'd left his lights on in the parking lot.

The normal reaction would have been to gasp in horror, turn to the children, and say, "I'm sorry, boys and girls, but something important has come up, and I have to leave."
