13. You mean that guy who kinda looks like Yul Brynner?

Haven't thought about him in years! When I was a kid, he was the first image I ever saw of a man wearing an earring (besides pirate movies).

21. True story about how Mr. Clean was created by Madison Avenue.
In the 1950s, a corporation (maybe P & G) wanted to introduce a new cleaning product. The ad guys wanted a picture on the bottle to attract women. So they chose a Yul Brynner looking guy since he was hot stuff at the time from "The King and I" (see the earring?). But it worked too well as women were embarassed to buy Mr. Clean as the guy on the label was TOO hot-looking. So back to the drawing board, literally. The ad guys thought, who is the NICEST looking guy of the times? They picked the president, Dwight David (Ike) Eisenhower. So they superimposed Ike's face on the King of Siam's body, and that's the composite you have in your post.

Was going to say call Homeland Security LOL, but if the janitor is from the "wrong" place he/she could wind up in Gitmo.

11. I hate to break this to you
but Chlorine gas cylinders are not the same as Clorox bleach.

Yes, the freepers are full of shit about these being WMDs, but that doesn't negate the horror and cruelty of these attacks.

23. Yeah, okay. But here's some everyday fun:
Take the chlorine and mix it with equal parts ammonia. If you live to tell about it, you'll have quite a story.

(This is not a fantasy. Do not mix these two -- you immediately generate chlorine gas, the same stuff in the trucks.)

27. WHat My Mother did that FOR YEARS .....
Then she wondered why she had tingling in her hands... We tried for years to get her to quit, but she would not she wanted to make sure all the germs were dead (And anything else that might be around, including herself I hate to say). We finally decided to make sure all of her floors were wood, for she would NOT use the combination of Bleach and Ammonia on a Wood Floor (Might damage the wood). Going to a wood floor was the only way to get her to stop using chlorine bleach diluted by Ammonia. It worked and she wondered why the tingling went away after a few weeks after the wood floors were installed.

Yes, there are people out there who will do stupid things with chemicals and given the Crew in DC, they would arrest such people and accuse them of being Terrorists.

30. Gads. Your mom could have done herself some serious damage.
There's another post on this thread about someone who did something that my sister did as well -- toss a bunch of bleach in the toilet to get rid of water stains only to forget it was there. She came back in a few minutes and dumped in some ammonia. The fumes quite literally nearly killed her -- burning eyes, tearing, coughing her lungs out. Nasty stuff.

31. Why do you think we (her adult Children) installed Wood Floors in her home.
Other than that she was going to kill herself. She would NOT even stop using the combination AFTER we told her that was causing the loss of feeling in her hands. She new better. She used the combination for over 60 years, finally started to catch up with her in her early 60s. She 80 now, so no permanent damage, but she always combined the two and as she got older she would use less and less water (Toward the end NO water in the bucket).

15. I actually heard vehicle damage, not bomb
and was waiting on more details before I posted the info.

but I suppose the republican thinkless tank believes "chemical bomb" sounds better than "traffic accident" when it comes to the war on Iraq.

17. Mix that with ammonia and you've got mustard gas.
Pretty soon we will all be relegated to sit the little children's table and given construction paper and crayons to play with. The scissors will of course be plastic with rounded points.

18. Mix the bleach with any toilet bowl cleaner and you get chlorine gas.
I accidentally did that about 5 years ago. I have white toilets through out my house and had added some bleach to each. Forgot it was in one of them and poured in the bowl cleaner. Well, I immediately felt the 'burn' and started to cough. I immediately realized what I'd done and flushed the contents down the toilet and started opening windows.

I couldn't stop coughing. Tears were running down my face. I went outside and still coughed. After about an hour, I called the Poison Hotline and was told to go to the ER. I went and they had me breathe something into my lungs and the coughing ceased.

I was so embarrassed at being so stupid! Only cost me the $50 medical insurance deduction for the ER!

29. No kidding I did it once unknowingly. I threw bleach in the toilet
bowl to soak before I cleaned it. Unknown to me, my roomate had thrown ammonia in it for the same reason. I was able to flush it down quickly before being overcome with the fumes.
