Bush tells Americans: "This is not the fight we entered in Iraq, but it is the fight we are in."

<snip>

This is not the fight we entered in Iraq, but it is the fight we are in. Every one of us wishes that this war were over and won. Yet it would not be like us to leave our promises unkept, our friends abandoned, and our own security at risk. Ladies and gentlemen: On this day, at this hour, it is still within our power to shape the outcome of this battle. So let us find our resolve, and turn events toward victory.

6. What the hell "victory"????
The idiot hasn't given us a definition or a timeline, just keeps spewing his usual nonsense. He's right about one thing though - it isn't the fight we entered, so the resolution voted on years ago is obsolete. Time for a new resolution telling Bush enough is enough.

8. Sweet Zombie Jesus! Would someone, ANYONE, please ask the following:
WHAT, exactly, is "victory" in Iraq. We keep hearing this phrase from Team BushCo, his enablers in the media, members of Congress but, to date, NO ONE has been able to explain what this mythical "victory" is. And I want this definition quantified: metrics, guidelines, goals - not some ethereal "freedom and democracy in the Middle East."

I'd give my left nut if anyone confronted the Presznit and demanded a quantifiable answer to this question, and gave no quarter until he or she got one.

11. A few points if I may
The fight he entered into didn't exist in the first place. It consisted of lies that they created in order to validate attacking Iraq.

His attacking Iraq under false pretenses and then having no regard for the disaster that would follow is what created the current circumstances.

The way I see this this is the war he entered into, it's just that he was too short sighted to realize he couldn't fool the majority of Americans forever.

takes this into account and requires that Dumbass go back to Congress for RE-authorization to continue this much different conflict than what was authorized by the original IWR. Let the people decide!

Unbelievable. He's the little kid that goes into the house, fucks up the kitchen, and then screams "MOOOOOM, the kitchen needs cleaned.

He's proving once again that he's nothing but another corporate tool who allows American soldiers to die for profits. ":banghead:

On the other hand...Maybe he's actually admitting that his failed mission in Iraq is not the one he was authorized to perform. Maybe Congress should think about drafting a resolution that spells out what the chimp is authorized to do.
