Roseanne blasts Oprah & Barack -

barak obama

is an empty suit selling "hope" in lieu of Truth. Oprah Winfrey helped to elect Arnold Swartzenegger. I have no doubt that she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay their "fair share" of Cali tax. Oprah has given us Swartzenegger and Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope, while calling Unions "special interest groups" that need to be done away with.
Obama votes with Bush constantly funding this terrible endless war. Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too.
You are a closeted republican and chose Barak Obama because you do not like other women who actually stand for something to working American Women besides glamour, angels, hollywood and dieting!
When Americans find out that Obama backs right wing corporate racist anti worker bullshit, they will not vote for him, and the victory will go to the most racist right wing republican ever.... Mccain, who is a fascist! That the culinary service workers in vegas have promised barak their vote,( he is anti union in his votes) over edwards, who is a pro-union man, just proves how stupid americans are and how they can be tricked so easily by the color of a person's skin...exactly what MLK hated!
Obama doesn't even back reproductive rights for any woman! It is historical that Oprah Winfrey, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience...and sells that to the female demographic who look to her for inspiration!

I don't think Hilliary is much better then Barack, I am Edwards gal. But, I think she did nail some valid points.

4. I was surprised to find this was genuine, because she sounds downright unhinged.
No matter what she is trying to convey, I couldn't get past her tone & method.

I always liked Roseanne, so I was quite taken aback that this was for real.

I'll ignore the horrible spelling errors.
It's quite obvious she doesn't know anything about Obama's record in the state senate, his U.S. Senate record, his community organizing, being a civil rights attorney, teaching Constitutional Law.

If she had known any of this, she wouldn't call him an empty suit.

As far as Oprah is concerned, I don't think Oprah really gives a damn what Roseanne thinks of her.

Do your research Roseanne. Obama is 100% pro-choice.

100% rating from NARAL
0% from NRLC

12. Obama is a shill. It is surprising some many think he is some kind of 'hope'

He doesn't offer much of anything. He touts bi-partisanship as a platform which shows he has no concept of reality. Think about the Republicans and their criminal acts. We are suppossed to allie with these people? People who lie, steal, murder, cheat....People vested in destroying government.

These are the people you fight. You CAN NOT work with them because they have NO INTEREST in change.

If you look at his big money downers, his failure to recognize the validity of a single payer health plan, & his pandering to the people who need to be overcome....I just do not get it. The fact that progressives support him is a huge blow to my perception that this country is on the road to any kind of real change.

It frightens me.

16. Political idiots frighten me. You agree with Barr. That's...
interesting.

You have no problem posting a screed filled with bullshit and outright lies. Obama has a 100% rating from NARAL. And it's hardly difficult to find that out.

Obama, unlike YOUR candidate, has an actual record as a progressive. And he knows you need to have a positive message to get elected. He hasn't said he'll capitulate on anything.

He takes no more money percentage wise from corporate interests than JE.

His health plan is just not that much different from Edwards' or Clinton's. NONE of them are single payer universal.

What frightens me is that people will support someone with NO progressive creds who simply talks a good came.

Now that's being gullible.

WORD.

Truer words never spoken.

28. Since I learned of neoconservative Kagan's endorsement of Obama's expansionist ideas
I no longer think he is naive. I worry about him. I'm not crazy about Hillary. Edwards past voting record raises my eyebrows, but I'll take a guy who distances himself from his bad past voting record and a recent selfish hedge fund investment over a guy who talks about expanding the military to the Council on Foreign Relations, never shuts the fuck up about religion, never stops snidely bashing progressives, and never apologizes for his mistakes but instead argues and makes excuses (I wasn't funding the war! I was funding the troops!) These are the hallmarks of the neoconservative/chicago school way of thinking.

The fact that the neocons seem to like him disturbs me more than anything. They announced a few years back that they'd be happy to work with a Democrat. I assumed that they were talking about Clinton and that the hatred of her was just a ruse. I'm thinking now that maybe I was wrong.

My distrust of the neoconservative movement is as deep and I don't like anything who carried an odor of it.

19. I'll ignore the personal attack and answer your question:
This was pure spite coming from her - otherwise why would she take the opportunity to trash Oprah's show?

Sour grapes affects an opinion's validity. Lies about Obama's stance on abortion disqualifies it completely.

15. Roseanne's latest post ... draw your own conclusions.
http://www.roseanneworld.com/blog/

oh my God!

I am so sorry for sounding like I don't like Oprah or Obama. I do. Oprah has been a force for good for a long time, and I just got carried away with my preference for Hilary over Obama. I think she is smarter and better than he is, but either of them is better than any Republican, and will get my vote no matter who ends up on top. I got upset because I felt Oprah was adding to the divisiveness in this country. I am sorry Oprah, I really do admire and love you for all the good you do and have done in this country and the world at large. I am just so worried about another Republican getting in, my stomache hurts and I can't sleep, and I go over the top sometimes!

there are other related comments at her blog.
