I'm voting republican in primaries
do I have to register republican before i can do so and how do you do that?

My reasoning is.. I like all the democrat nominees. I'm happy with all of them. Anyone of them is great.

ON the republican side.. oh there are so many that scare the crap out of me. I have more at stake there. Thinking of voting for Ron Paul. (Huckabee terrifies me) I'm in Ohio.

Is my logic flawed? Sorry I'm new to all this voting.. 2004 was my first election

5. that would be mine now too. Rudy is imploding. Romney is plausible as
their nominee, but defeatable in the generals.

2. depends on the state party
the way I understand it, in general, the Republicans don't allow anybody but repubs to vote at their Primary while them Dems usually allow independents

3. In Arkansas and Illinois,
the two states where I've voted, all you have to do is go into the polling place and tell them whether you want the Democratic or Republican ballot. To find out what it is like for you in Ohio, give your county clerk a call.

4. The Democrats will have a walk in the park. Vote for your favorite Dem candidate
so that your voice is heard at the convention.

6. If you like all the Dem nominees
do you like the fact that Nader and Bloomberg are more likely to get in the race if Hillary is the nominee? I don't. That is why I switched from Biden to Obama.

Vote for a viable Republican that you think is easy for Dems to beat. I think Romney and Huckabee would be more easy to beat. Paul, Thompson and 9iu11iani aren't viable right now.

7. I've at times thought about a strategic vote for a
Republican, but I've always ruled it out.

My conscience would bother me like mad, as I've never once pulled the lever for an (R).

8. You should probably vote FOR Huckabee ...
... he scares me too, but I think he would be the most unelectable nominee imaginable. We should do everything we can to help him get the Republican nomination.

9. Really?

See I'm in a republican part of Ohio and all I hear about is Romney, Guilliani and Huckabee. People love him here and his religion.. His religion gives me the creeps and I say this as a Christian who goes to Church every Sunday without fail! Yes, I love God but he wants you use your brain too geesh. Anyway, who is leading on the republican side in Ohio?

I know what you mean about thinking of a strategic republican vote but not being able to do it. I may chicken out. I do not want to have to reply republican when I get my ballot! I might say republican and then stick my finger in my mouth like I'm going to puke
