How would a person find out how much it cost to have a ballot recount
who pays for it and is it a set fee for all precients? Is it something we should have a fund drive in preparation of and if so how would a person go about doing that???

2. Whomever is officially in charge of elections for a state. I think usually secretary of state.
I think it would be good to start contesting process now to let it be know that we will do it in general election.

4. Depends on if you're talking about a Primary or General Election
Primary's are a Party thing, general elections belong to the state.

I do recall seeing the cost for the Florida recount in 2000. It was suprisingly low, but I don't recall what it was, maybe a couple of million.

6. since HRC & supporters are so "sure" of the results, it'd be very generous
of them & her campaign to donate the money for a recount to verify once and for all that it was done fair & square. Since she does have all that corporate payola backing her, her campaign can afford it and it would be very reassuring that she does indeed care about democracy and not just about being manipulated into the WH. It would be a great PR move that would likely win votes.

Or is she afraid to do this?

8. Your candidate has not requested it either
Is Obama prepared to pay for a hand count in every future state that he wins...are you?

10. Any candidate that would do that's stock would go way up in my book
I think it would also show those who don't vote because they don't think their votes make any difference encouragment to go and vote so that in the end we would all be better for it.
