1. If he had voted against IWR he would stand out. I really do dig him, tho, and hope
people will take notice. He's incredibly special and a gifted orator who talks with sincerity about the plight of the POOR, which seems to be no one else's constituency. Does HIllary ever mention the poor?
I like Edwards and will support him if he wins the nomination. However, I remember him in some of the debates and not being overly impressed by him - from the early pre-primary debates through the debate with Cheney.
That said - I don't support any candidate at this time.
But, our primary process has become known for the preliminaries being the money race. It seems the money race is more critical than the actual nominating process. How often has the money men been disappointed by voters choices. Hillary Clinton telling donors don't contribute to other candidates or else. Sounds like Delay and his K Street project with the Democrats.
11. He is an average debater plus the media is concentrating on Hillary and Obama
I like Edwards but he came across as slightly weak in the debates. I think he is very electable though and would make a good general election candidate.
the air out of most of the media and money people and that he has been slotted as the "poverty" and union candidate due to his remarkable efforts in the last few years staking out these issues and constituencies.
I think he and any other candidate would do well to adopt Gore's points on how really changing our energy policies would actually benefit the economy AND help the world -- and make it a central issue of his speech. If Gore indeed does not run, someone HAS to make a big deal of of this and show practical ways of how it can be done.
So far I have not heard Hillary or Obama go beyond lip service to this crucial issue.
