7. Probably not.
I just think it galls some people that they have to lose the meme (lie) that the MSM wants Hillary to be the candidate. They felt noble pissing on a frontrunner.

9. Well, as my Senator I can attack him for the
fact he has done nothing for his constituents in the last year because he's too busy running for office.

14. I'm answering your question if that's OK.
That's why I responded to you. And if you want me to add an answer to the OP then I can say that.....The media can criticize him for being too busy on the campaign trail (extolling his being against the war) to even go to the Senate and vote against the funding for the war he is against. He's going to be the Democratic candidate but it's because the media has picked him for us. His record will come out when he is in the general and it won't be pretty.

16. Then there's a lot of criticism to be shared. Campaigning
requires time obviously, and I don't think anyone can logically slam him for being out there. And I enjoy my free will; the media initially picked Clinton if you recall. Now they're going with a winner. I made my decision months ago, no thanks to the media.

19. Then that's fine.
You can be for any candidate you want. Good for you. But don't reprimand me (by saying I'm not answering the OP) for giving facts about what the media can and will (in the general election) be on Obama's case for. Because he is my Senator I think I see more dirt than the love fest national media sees. The love the media has will end just as it ended for Hillary.

21. Touchy, ain't ya. That wasn't a reprimand; I was responding to the OP,
you came out of left field. I've tried to remain civil but I'm never in a mood to slam Obama, so our conversation is over. Bye!

22. Seems it might be you who are a bit touchy.
Bringing out facts about a candidate and being told by you that I am not responding to the OP's question because you don't want to hear them makes me think that. It really is a typical reaction to many Obama lovers. Did you ever fall in love and not want to hear the bad things about your love match? Your heart doesn't want to hear what your mind has to say. But anyway, this is all besides the point, Obama will be the candidate. It has been written by the media. He will be put on the skewer in the general and there are items he can be skewered about wheter you want to hear them or not.

18. Well, if the past is any indication
Remember how Hillary was constantly criticized for her hair when Bill was running?

Then Al Gore said "lockbox" too many times.

Al Gore was too orange at one point. Too fat at another point.

Kerry was a flip-flop.

Max Clelland was unpatriotic, even sans 3 limbs sustained in combat.

Howard Dean made a funny noise.

So now tell me what has Obama done?

Maybe he's too black. Or not black enough.

Hair too short?

His middle name is "Hussein?"

Teeth too white? Too thin?

The Republicans try to appeal to your inner fifth-grader, and sadly, it works. On a base level, nobody wants to back someone who is somehow undesirable.

Just watch it happen.

24. Taylor Marsh mentions a couple of things here.
http://www.taylormarsh.com/archives_view.php?id=26712

Apparently there were a couple of Illinois Senate votes that the Rightards could have a field day with. Scroll down, they're at the end of the article.

And if they choose to, they could run negative ads on these two votes and cause Obama a whole lot of trouble.

Think of what they did to Max Cleland.

They changed the perception of John Kerry from that of a decorated war hero to a coward, and the sheeple bought it lock, stock and barrel.

I personally think they're building Obama up so they can ultimately tear him down. It's what they do, and there's mucho dinero to be made doing it.

13. They won't turn on him until the GE.
Their first job is to make him the nominee.

Their second job is to defeat him once he is.

Am I the only one who feels like he's seen this movie before?

15. You are exactly correct!!!
And no one wants to hear it but they have a large field of things to find fault with him on. Things not visible in the glare of love they have for him now.
