Personal effectors I can think of on the fly: (these are the in your face things that I believe might rank up there on Maslow's hierarchy of needs)
Medical costs Legal Costs Cost of goods Ability to make a living wage Various bigotries Individual Freedoms
The above six items are just examples and are pointed at the idea of only a comfortable and rewarding survival of a person or family. These are all pretty much survival issues. These and like items are all items that seem to be championed by Democratic candidates. These are all items that will generate the most benefit for the largest percentage of Americans.
Things we are told are important (3rd party issues), even though they usually have no affect/effect on the typical American individual:
Abortion Gay marriage Drug use Entitlement Programs Evolution Foreign Entities
Now these six issues are all matters of personal choice or taste and matters that pique emotions which do not threaten any hierarchy of needs. These subjects seem to often be a mainstay of Republican campaigning suggesting that they either don't have to spend time worrying about keeping a roof and food for a healthy family or that they prefer to manufacture bogymen to create false survival issues that will only be of value for a few.
In closing, using this paradigm for comparing issues and parties, it is painfully obvious that our Republican neighbors are voting to support a very few very wealthy entities while the rest of us are simply voting for us.
Just know this: Dawggie said it so it has to be true! :)
