Just for today, let us bury the hatchet and simply celebrate and appreciate our front runners for what they represent, and for how much attention and respect they have gathered from our fellow citizens.

Hillary Clinton is fighting the fight we have always wanted our Dem leaders to fight against ruthless repukes who would stop at nothing.

Edwards is fixated on a domestic agenda that has been ignored and neglected for almost a decade.

Obama represents the pure energy of belief that the future can be better than we (or at least I) can even conceive of. When I hear him, my nihilism is destroyed, and I remember that I do care.

I believe that these are truly damned good human beings, in spite of any frailties that they might, like I or you, have.

The goal has to be taking the United States of America back. That is something we can do.

I know how hard it is to trust any politician anymore. Believe me, I understand. But in spite of the evidence, I'm going to trust our Democrats. All sorts of interesting things could happen. All sorts of wonderful tickets could emerge from these front runners. Many of them might end up in the Cabinet.

It's a very exciting time. And things can only get better.

Let's please remember to keep our eyes on the prize.

I love DU, and the passion that has been expressed here. I've learned so much from all of you.

The future is ours.

2. Not to mention how much the turnout increased over 4 years ago
and the size of the margin of turnout of democrats to republicans. Very big deal - and very good signs for November.

3. Good luck with that. My guy got seriously spanked last night
and I don't feel the need to go and shit on the 4 candidates that beat him. DU loves the circular firing squad.

I'm not a supporter of anyone in particular, but last night's speech from Obama was inspirational. It was an historic moment for this nation. It is something to celebrate that within the lifetimes of people who are still on this earth, the country has moved from segregation and hatred to friendships, love and respect - and most of all, to a black man winning a primary in a predominantly white state.

This is a great moment, no matter who you support, because democrats are the ones who brought about this change in government, after brave citizens demanded their rights.

11. Iowans showed a step forward. Let's just,...take it!!!
It IS an INCREDIBLY EXCITING TIME!!!!

The Iowa caucus gleamed some light on the possibilities.

Let's not allow ourselves to get caught up on the politics of cynicism and hatred viciously pursed by those who care ONLY ABOUT POWER FOR THEMSELVES.

I will still vote for Edwards' platform to fight the corporacrats.

But, I will embrace ALL VICTORIES against the theo-corporacrats that call themselves "Republicans".

14. I haven't felt this good the the day after the 2006 election
And ironically, due to a last-minute issue I had to deal with, I was unable to follow the coverage.

First, I tuned in to MSNBC shortly just long enough to see that the top three Dems had about 32% each with a quarter of the precincts reporting. I thought, "Well, this proves what I've said since November--this race will be tighter than my best jeans, and NOBODY'S running away with it." When I tuned in a few hours later, I expected to see Hillary up by four points at most over Obama with Edwards about three points behind him...
