So very difficult to keep the lies straight, so little time to do it in.

Snow Backtracks, Now Claims Bush Didn’t Know Of Walter Reed Neglect

During yesterday’s White House press briefing, Tony Snow tried to play down the neglect uncovered at Walter Reed by portraying it as old news. President Bush “certainly has been aware of the conditions in the wards where he has visited, Snow said, affirming that the administration was aware of Walter Reed’s conditions “before the articles appeared in the paper.”

The White House has since backtracked from Snow’s comments. In a small addendum added to the bottom of yesterday’s briefing transcript on the White House website, a note now reads that Bush “first learned of the troubling allegations regarding Walter Reed from the stories this weekend in the Washington Post,” and that he is “deeply concerned” by the conditions:

Following the reversal, Snow told the Washington Post that “he did not know why the president, who has visited the facility many times in the past five years, had not heard about these problems before.”

Asked yesterday if Bush may talk about this scandal at some point in the future, Snow answered, “No.“

2. So, Tony, were you lying then or are you lying now?
No matter, you're still a liar.

3. As Randi Rhodes says, it's much easier to just tell the truth
BushCo's lies tend to get so complex that it's impossible to keep track of everything. It would drive a normal person (with a conscience) crazy.

6. That's his story and he's stickin' to it.
I'm surprised...or maybe not...that the gaggle doesn't just laugh in his face, he's been caught in so many lies.

Damn lapdogs...I'm so disgusted with the whole boiling of them...and that goes for EVERYBODY in the place.

7. They have such a hard life. Lying is hard - you don't know if you
need to tell a hard lie, a medium lie, or a soft lie until you consult with many others and then it's hard wondering if everyone else participating in the lie will agree. Or, you have it hard when someone thinks of tweaking a lie or thinks up a better lie. And ... there are so many deciders helping the decider. Don't you just think we should feel sorry for their hard lives?

We're waiting, Tony.

I wish I knew why the arrogance continues to astound me.

9. Problems at Walter Reed exposed by Salon.com two years ago - Americablog
The first our wonderful commander in chief and his buddies in the military and the Republican congress heard of all the problems at Walter Reed was in this weekend's Washington Post. Funny that, since Salon.com reported on many of the very same problems two years ago. That means that not only are these problems not new. But the Pentagon and White House knew about them at least two years ago (and who doesn't think they knew long before that?).
