New Edwards Spin
Matt Stoller who is a great blogger, was just on Rachel Maddow.
Looks like we got the latest Joe Trippi spin about the campaign.
As Matt said "IF Edwards only had another week before the vote" geez he has been there for years.
What I think they meant if they only had one more week to Obama bash, it MIGHT have had more of an effect.
It is not fun watching progressives shoot themselves in the feet.

3. downplaying a win by Edwards is wise
because if he wins, it will play as a GIANT story

5. I don't think that is Edwards spin

I heard it & I thought it was a political analysis, not a note from the campaign.

He could very well win. What I have heard from the majority of pundits....

Too close to call. So, unless anyone here is a confirmed psychic, let's just admit what is OBVIOUS....

WE DON'T KNOW

7. He needs a win here for financial reasons I think that is why Kucinich is
throwing his supporters to Obama. John Edwards is his progressive competition.
Kucinich voters and Edwards voters are very close ideologically. If he can help get rid of Edwards now he could get Edwards supporters later. So he calculates. He did the same thing to Dean in 04. I think it sucks. And to say Obama stands for change is bullshit.

This is a hunch, it is the only thing that makes sense to me. I think he traded for Obamas votes in Michigan on 1/15 because neither Edwards or Obama are on the ballot.
