I had sort of a flashback yesterday
I went out on the 1st to get a few things from the store just a half mile away . There were few cars on the road and this was 10:30 am , it brought me back 25 years in time since this was how the traffic used to be back then during the work week . Beside the drastic changes in the landscape and buildings and the look of the new cars I felt like I stepped back in time .

When I got home the dream was broken when I lifted the heavy garage door and realized I am now pushing 60 , however it was nice while it lasted .

It also made me fully realize with a shock to my mind and system just how far off course this country has gone in 25 years , even though I am aware of the changes just for the moment going back 25 years was still quite startling to the nerves .

1. I have those moments too
But further back---like 35 years ago. The feeling that comes with it is sometimes a deep sadness, almost despair, but other times just nostalgia and gratitude I lived through those better times, when it seemed we were on the right track.

2.  I know the feeling , if I go back 35 years I -
can hardly breath , things were so different then much different than 25 years ago . If I go back that far I get to depressed and music usually does that for me .

My wife and I used to go on long walks 25 years ago , up to 10 miles on the week ends just to get out and be free of all the cares . But it has changed so much here that even walking around here is depressing , we walk by and try to recall what used to stand on a corner in place of the huge mall and most times we can't recall .
