My New Year's Eve election prediction.
Hillary Clinton gets the Democratic nomination.
Mitt Romney gets the Republic nomination.

HILLARY WINS THE GENERAL!

And, no, I am not a Hillary cheerleader. Of the Dems running, none of whom I am wild about, my favorite is Edwards. However, I just believe this is the way things will turn out.

1. If HRC does get the nomination I predict she will lose the general election in a landslide.

2. Hillary Clinton gets the Democratic nomination --> St. Mike Huckabee wins the general election.
We rue our choices.

7. Please let me in on what you are all smoking

For ANY thinking person to think Huckabee has a snake eyes chance in Hell must be high. Remember, their are more liberals, progressives , and moderates then conservatives in this country. The Dems are mad, organized and have the most money. The GOP is toast in the upcoming election.

10. Not High Enough to Forget 2004 and 2000, Unfortunately
I think we need some of whatever you're smoking. I'm not high enough to have forgotten 2004.
We were sure to win. We were ahead in the polls by enough that there was no way Bush could be re-elected.
We had a great candidate — a war hero who had also been fighting for truth and justice in the Senate for decades.
All kinds of dirt was coming out about Bush which we were sure was going to finish him off once it hit the news.
Went into the election with a healthy lead, and even the most pessimistic of us thought we had it won.
Then the numbers started changing.

Just like 2000, when we were running on 8 years of peace and prosperity,
a lot of Democrats were happy to see George W. Bush get the Repiglicon nomination because he would be so easy to beat.
It seemed as if we were beating him. We were leading handily in the polls all the way to election day,
and just as it looked as if we had it won, Gore's numbers started going backwards.

There were more liberals than conservatives in the country then too, but the pendulum has continued to move to the right regardless.

6. I think you are wrong.
It will be Edwards romping away... will he be true to his current promises?
