2. I don't think there is a connection
his uncle served in the Falkland\ Malvina war as a chopper pilot.

No, I think Blair was going to pull the trigger since his successor probably will

In a way, an attempt to salvage his reputation

3. "In a way, an attempt to salvage his reputation"
I agree. But the Harry theory is fun speculation. I think Blair, who early on looked to be on the verge of greatness, is desperate to salvage something, even though he's taken Labour down the tubes with him.

6. The Queen served in the Army during WWII
though as a mechanic. And the Royal Family didn't flee London during the Blitz and Buckingham Palace was hit. The Brits do seem to have a better sense of duty than our leaders do.

7. The Brits know how to show true sacrifice and backbone
Remember how they showed it during the Al Qaeda Underground bombings?

Hardly anyone interviewed said they'd change their habits after the bombings.

Now, that's what they call "some chicken... some neck"

4. Imagine not Prince Harry killed in battle
but captured by insurgents and beheaded, Blair would have to live the rest of his days in that same Paraguayian compound with the Bush Crime family. But I think the Poodle realized that once war starts with Iran his troops are automatic turkey shoot targets or hostages.

8. marmar, your OP...I was thinking the exact same thing!
No doubt about it..Blair is risking all having Prince Harry in harms way.
I'll bet he hasn't slept a wink since Harry's deployment!
