7. Ever since O'Reilly claimed NBC made a decision
to "lean left". Funny how "telling the truth" is equal to "leaning left".

24. Going after O'Lielly sure worked for Keith!
Edited on Tue Feb-20-07 09:59 PM by rocknation

But seriously, folks, that's not why Joe is doing it.

Until he can find another position, the only way Joe can stay employed is to hold on to as much of Keith's audience as possible, which means he has to become more LIKE him...pass the popcorn, indeed!

19. You could see the venom rise when he mentioned Keith Olbermann
calling him names...so juvenile. Was upset about Keith going to be on the Evening News.
Was kind of humorous that Joe said HE had been on the Today Show and IT had more ratings than any news show on NBC.

26. Thanks Horse, for Kohn's last name
I didn't get it and am determined to write Joe Scarborough about him. Guy's got a big mouth and a loud voice, drowns out everyone else. And of all things, after yammering on about someone calling McCain a flipflopper, a mild description, surely, he calls Keith Olbermann a leftwing nutjob. Kept talking over Adubado's pointing out his double standard there on the name-calling front. I suppose a big mouth and a loud voice is a Republican thing; it's the way they get their idiot agenda out front. The only reason I watch Joe Scarborough, anyway, is because he follows Keith, but if Kohn shows his face again, it goes off immediately.

3. Well, at least fill us in!
Scarborough is undoubtedly feeling the heat from Keith Olbermann's increasingly bright star - AND his four year contract extension, AND the raise that went with it, AND all the cool little extras and special things he's been invited to do on the mother network and the "Nightly News" - while he himself is having difficulty maintaining Keith's numbers when "Countdown" hands off to "Scarborough Country." Joe's ratings consistently drop from the heights to which Keith pushed 'em. He's got a great lead-in, and can't sustain it very well.

I've noticed Joe changing lately. Hasn't been quite so strident. Kinda nice. But it remains to be seen whether he's really among the saved yet.

Could you elaborate on that graphic for me? It really sucked me in and I am strangely drawn to it, even though I have no idea where it is from nor what it represents. Thanks.

Bob Kohn, maybe, as other poster said.

real jerk

or the darker haired guy? I just saw the last three seconds or so; enough to see the two guys...the older one is on the show all the time, and pretends to be reasonable, but is a wingnut apologist

22. Kohn called Keith a "nutjob" or something close to it
and was railing on and on about how on earth could NBC Nightly News invite a "devout liberal" like Keith on the show!!!!

 What a riot! He had completely forgotten that Keith's contributions are supposed to be apolitical!!!!

Boy, it's really got some people's panties in a bind that Keith is going to be on NBC News now. Robs them of their smugness as they brag about Billo having five times Keith's audience...because the NBC News audience dwarfs Billo's!!!!

17. Smacked him good, didn't he?
Joe's been a little more watchable lately, but damn, I wish to hell he would stop having Pat Buchanan on! Pat keeps singing the same old song: Everything is the fault of the Dems. Of course, the Dems aren't perfect, but I never hear him rag on the Repuks like that.

25. Guess BillO's Petition To Get KO Fired Isn't Quite Working...
Here's a classic KO goodie...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVr5GxMxfpo

Joey slapped Kohn around good. Kohn must be on the News Corp payroll or is a professional punching bag (getting paid to look silly and get beat up on) as he gets his head handed to him regularly on that show.

I don't think there's any jealousy between Joey and Keith...if anything, the attacks by Faux have made them brothers in arms. MSNBC has seen gold in trashing Faux from both right and left...as Olbermann's profile and ratings continue to rise the more the right wing attempts to vilify him.

Joey's playing it smart. He's a smart politician who is far enough outside the stench of the beltway to avoid any backlash on the current and ongoing Repugnican implosion, with a pulpit (like his hero Raygun) to comment about what's going wrong without having to be held accountable. He's measured where the "core conservatives" have drifted...some who are now identifying as Democrats...and have abandonded both boooosh and most of the party in the hopes of riding to the rescue someday. Joey's no "convert"...never will be, but he sees a more real world than the rest of his corrupt party. He's biding his time, he'll be back on the national political stage once the smoke clears.
