and it wasn't easy but I have to tell you...my one friend that was sexually abused by her father and two more that had alcoholic fathers had it a lot worse. I'm watching this on A&E Hi-Def. A&E has made the technical decision to play all regular movies in stretch mode on Hi-Def, meaning that everybody looks fatter than they are already are.

About 5 minutes into the program they show a woman leading a children's group. At one point she starts shouting about "fat and lazy" Christians. Unfortunately, she has a bit of a weight problem and the stretch mode makes her look like a blimp.

I was in the evangelical church for a number of years. Wow, it was bang on. I used to teach children in Sunday school and was told that I had to teach 2 and 3 year olds how to pray to get the holy spirit, talking in tongues and other things. I had a great curriculum to work with, however I had kids that asked me questions that me wonder what in hell I was doing there. I soon realized that this wasn't what I wanted to teach.

These were people who advocated "spare the rod: spoil the child" mentality. The would make sure that Focus on the Family literature was everywhere. I didn't spank my children for misbehaving than I was spoiling them, never mind that I could have been charged with child abuse.

I wonder what these kids will be like when they grow up. I wouldn't want to be in the families shoes when they rebel and they will. I wonder if a followup movie will be done...hmm, Jesus Camp what went wrong?
