Bhutto's top lawyer: "It is baseless. It is a pack of lies. Two bullets hit her"

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/12/28/nosplit/wbhutto1228.xml

<snip>

Brigadier Javed Cheema, a ministry spokesman, said Miss Bhutto had died from a head wound she sustained when she smashed against the sunroof's lever as she tried to shelter inside the car.

"The lever struck near her right ear and fractured her skull," Mr Cheema said.

But the explanation was ridiculed by Farooq Naik, Miss Bhutto's top lawyer and a senior official in her Pakistan People's Party.

"It is baseless. It is a pack of lies," he said.

"Two bullets hit her, one in the abdomen and one in the head. It was a serious security lapse."

Or is it?

The post below is correct, we'll never know. That's just the way the world works now.

not want to relinquish power to her, because the outcome of that vote would have had her winning.

7. But who would commit suicide for an American puppet?
That's the part I need help with.

And I don't get the point of the lies, either. It was a security breach no matter how she died.

21. My mind goes to that crazy place where Bhutto was talked into
going back to Pakistan by Rice for a very nefarious reason. It's all so many chess moves by these people. I feel like Bush and Company needed to stir the pot more and more and this was a sure fire way of doing so. All Rice would have had to do to talk Bhutto into going back to Pakistan is to play on her love for her country and her perceived and real importance in trying to help the secularist and moderates of Pakistan from being overtaken by the extremists. I'm guess I'm saying that our administration knew what would happen to her just like anybody in the world who had been paying attention would know she would be killed. It's more diabolical fodder for this administration or whomever is really running things to keep the world off balance in a very dangerous place.

I can't possibly think Bushco would think this would help a Republican presidential candidate, so I can't help but think it has something to do with something not concerning our presidential race. I'm not sure. It just seems to scream at me that she was "convinced" to go back to Pakistan by our government and they KNEW she would be killed. Then you have to think why would this be advantagous to them. ?

30. It begins to look like Rice et al promised her support
that they weren't prepared to deliver.

And the lies smack of BushCo. Musharif is much more measured.

This is a Bush debacle, from start to horrible finish.

10. Weird, I noticed they carried her body off rather quickly.
I doubt an autopsy was done. Why? And will one be performed when she gets back to where ever they took her body to.

One thing, in situations like this, it's always chaotic.

13. One report I saw said the autopsy was NOT performed because it was not requested
by the Pakistani/Bush-puppet Gov't (translation: "we don't want you guys doin' no stinkin' autopsy, OK?")

17. I hadn't heard that one.. but thanx for sharing
I can believe the Muslim tradition part, but I'd think it odd that her husband would not have wanted one.

just one of the many mysteries surrounding this tragic killing, which we'll no doubt be sorting out for some
time to come.

22. Muslim tradition also requires that she be buried within a day too...
That is why she was buried the next day, and why you didn't have an autopsy, etc. too.

In Islamic tradition, autopsies are not allowed, it's seen as a desecration of the body.

28. Here is the policy.
http://www.ayubmed.edu.pk/JAMC/PAST/18-4/06%20Murad%20Zafar%20MArri.pdf

According to the law in Pakistan, medicolegal

autopsy is performed after police / magisterial

inquest. It generally includes deaths due to violent

crime including mechanical interference with the

bodily respiratory passages, physical assaults and

poisoning. All deaths occurring suddenly and under

suspicious circumstances are subjected to an autopsy.

12. How convenient there was no autopsy, because one was not requested
by the Pakistani/Bush/puppet Gov't ... now why would they go out of their way to
obscure what really happened if they had nothing to hide? hmmm.

24. What's that smell?
sniff sniff... smells like Dallas, or London, or Florida. It is the smell of the ever changing story, the Official Story that can't quite get settled down, the smell of corruption, of high crimes and misdemeanors, of governments gone wild.

Can't you smell that smell? The smell of it surrounds you.
